Description

Casa Do Avo is a country house located in a privileged place with access to both the mountains and the sea. In just 10 minutes by car you can get to Paul da Serra and the Sea. It is an ideal location to explore the island and is near beautiful landscapes, restaurants and meals. With easy access to the North and its fabulous landscapes via Ribeira Brava. You'll love my place because of the views, the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). The space A new edition for our country house is a salamander with its heat for all the rooms. This will make the house even more comfortable in colder weather. We also added a larger water heater to accommodate larger families and friends, and also for each person to have a hot and comfortable shower. We listen to the people who come to our country house and try to make the holidays as pleasant and unforgettable as possible. Guest access A comfortable house in the hills and among nature for you to enjoy. Other things to note Welcome to Madeira, a stunning subtropical island that captivates visitors with its lush landscapes, vibrant culture, and breathtaking ocean views. As you prepare for your trip to this paradise, it’s important to embrace one of its natural inhabitants: insects. While Madeira’s rich biodiversity is a testament to its thriving ecosystem, it does mean that encountering insects is inevitable. There is insect life on Madeira. Understanding and appreciating this aspect of island life can enhance your overall experience. One of the most common insects you might encounter on Madeira is the cockroach. These resilient creatures thrive in warm, humid environments, making subtropical regions like Madeira a perfect home. While the sight of a cockroach might be startling, they are harmless. Cockroaches are mostly active at night and prefer dark places. They are not a sign of bad hygiene. They occur in some parts of the world such as on Madeira. Storing food properly can help minimize encounters with these nocturnal visitors. Another insect you are likely to come across is the tiny ant. These industrious insects are often seen marching in lines, foraging for food. They can appear in kitchens, bathrooms, and even in outdoor areas. To prevent ants from becoming a nuisance, it’s a good idea to keep food sealed and surfaces clean. If you spot a trail of ants, you can place an ant poison box at its extremity and the problem is solved. Also a common insect when it starts to rain in the black centipede. They crawl into the houses. They are harmless. Sweep them out of the houses. Registration Details 33898/AL
