Plum Tree Cottage in Porlock was formerly part of an old coach house and stables, with a stone mounting block in the garden reflecting its history. The cottage is approached by footpath through the garden from the private parking area. A spacious porch and bootroom leads into the hallway, with a large sitting room offering comfortable seating for six guests plus games and puzzles. The space The kitchen-dining room is fitted with new appliances including a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob, washing machine, and extras such as a toaster, slow cooker and cafetiere. French doors open onto a patio for al fresco dining. A downstairs double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and hand basin, and there is a further downstairs toilet with hand basin. Upstairs are a double and a twin bedroom, both with en-suite shower rooms. In total the cottage sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms, plus a cot if required, with a stair gate also provided. A television with Freeview and DVD player, wireless internet, hair dryer, iron and ironing board are all provided, and heating and electricity are included, with oil-fired central heating throughout. Outside, a spacious garden runs to the side and front of the cottage, with outdoor seating and a charcoal barbecue (charcoal not supplied) on the patio. The garden features a raised, walled pond which has been netted for safety, though children should still be supervised. Off-road gravelled parking is available at the end of the garden for two to three cars, accessed through double gates with a footpath leading to the front door. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a starter supply of tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, plus cleaning materials and toilet rolls. The property is strictly non-smoking. Dogs are welcome, usually up to two, for a supplementary fee of GBP 25 per dog, and should be kept off furniture and away from upstairs rooms. Guest access The kitchen is fitted with a fridge-freezer (the freezer has 3 drawers), dishwasher, microwave, oven with hob and washing machine. Other equipment includes toaster, slow cooker, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cookware, cafetiere, cutlery, crockery and glasses. A television with freeview and DVD player is situated in the sitting room, and wireless internet is available at no extra cost. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided for your convenience. A cot is available, it is stored in the wardrobe in the double bedroom. A stair gate is also provided. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided per toilet.
