Lumella is an architect-designed getaway for guests looking for a private and peaceful rural escape only nine minutes from Daylesford and fifteen minutes to Trentham. The space Located on Dolphins Hill on the border of Musk and Bullarto, Lumella sits on 20 acres atop the Great Dividing Range. Commanding panoramic views as far as the eye can see down through the valleys to the headwaters of the Werribee, Campaspe and Loddon rivers that surround the area. The view provides an ever-changing living canvas, breathtaking throughout each season. During the winter months, while the fire is roaring the surrounding hills can be covered in snow, whilst in Summer, hay bales dot the landscape and the large deck is a beautiful place to relax and take in the view. The building was designed by Antony Martin (MRTN Architects) His clever design feels spacious, despite the small footprint. It has a balanced symmetry and from above the footprint looks like a star. The design captures the stunning views through the large picture box windows. The interiors have been beautifully put together by Jessica Nixon from Okologi, she has sourced products and artwork from Koskela, Castle, Globewest, Shelley Panton, Oblica, L&M Home, and Heatherley Design to name a few to create a one-off and special hideaway. The bathroom with a free-standing bath is a feature and guests are treated to Aesop Skin Care and luxurious towels. This is a property you can prepare for a long weekend and decide to stay in, cook, dream and laze away the days watching the ever-changing view through the window. Or make the most of the proximity to Daylesford and Trentham and book a special lunch or dinner at one of the region's famous restaurants. You can then retreat to Lumella with dessert and a nightcap beside the fire.
