The Villa duck Dich consists of the sister houses Villa duck Dich 27+ 29. It has a total of 8 sleeping places and thus offers even larger groups the opportunity to explore the Harz. The ground floors were kept strikingly low in height, which means that the house entrances do not even have a height of 1.80 m. This led to the popular expression Villa Duck Dich spread. The floor height on the ground floor was significantly increased as part of the renovation. After the renovation in 2019, the houses now have four bedrooms, two living rooms, two fully equipped kitchens with dining area, a reading corner, two work areas and four bathrooms. It accommodates eight people. The half-timbered style and the rustic real wood beams have been worked out with a lot of with great attention to detail. House no. 27 is heated completely environmentally friendly with infrared surface heating; House 29 is heated by wall heating: The clay plaster on the walls in both houses helps to improve the indoor climate. Both houses have underfloor heating on the ground floor. The cottages each have a large kitchen/living room with a dining table on the ground floor and 4 chairs, or corner bench with two chairs and CD player. The kitchens are equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, coffee maker and a toaster, kettle, egg cooker, iron, ironing board, plenty of dishes, glasses and cutlery. Also on the ground floor there is a bathroom with bathtub, toilet and sink. A massive real wood staircase leads to the upper floor in both houses. In house 27 there is a cozy reading corner with a comfortable wing chair and a wide selection of books. There is also the living room with 2 armchairs and couch and large flat-screen TV with internet function and DVD player. In house 29 there is a work area and a living room with a flat-screen TV, an armchair and a small couch. Of course, both houses have Wi-Fi. From both houses you can reach the terrace with seating for 8 people. From the 2nd floor, you can access the terrace from both houses. There are tables and chairs for a cozy get-together. On the next floor there is a bedroom with a double bed in both houses and a wardrobe. There is also a daylight bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet in both houses. The top floor in both accommodations has the second bedroom with two single beds, dresser and clothes rail. In the attic there is also a work space with desk and chair. If you want to have a cozy breakfast, you can do that right next door, in the tea room, Marktstraße 21. There you will receive a rich breakfast for €10.80.
