Our 79 m² apartment "Sonnenwinkel" is located in the heart of the recreational area of Barßel and Saterland in the northern tip of the Lower Saxony district of Cloppenburg. Other things to note Our newly built apartment in 2021 is located on an idyllic lake in a small vacation home settlement on the edge of the forest of the village of Harkebrügge. On two floors with two bedrooms, bathroom with shower and toilet there is enough space for up to six people (the 6th sleeping accommodation is a travel cot for babies/toddlers). On the ground floor, the apartment offers a light-flooded living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen as well as a high-quality living area with guest bed function as well as a smart TV and Amazon Echo. You will also find a bedroom with double beds (1.8 x 2 m) on the ground floor. The bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet, a washer-dryer and a changing table is opposite the bedroom. There is also a storage room below the stairs.  The highlight of the apartment is the spacious sauna upstairs, which you can use free of charge. Furthermore, on the upper floor you will find a bright, spacious additional bedroom with two single beds (0.9 x 2 m), which invites the youngest of the family to play extensively. The VELUX CABRIO™ skylight creates a balcony-like roof exit in no time and thus offers a beautiful view over the roofs of the neighboring houses towards the swimming lake. You will also find a smart TV here. If necessary, another sleeping option can be prepared with a high-quality guest folding bed (90 x 200 cm). For your baby/toddler, you can book our baby package. This consists of a high-quality travel bed (60 x 120 cm), matching children's mattress incl. sheets and bed linen, changing table, high chair, bathroom stool/toilet ring, pop-up playpen, socket night light and stair gate. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the fresh air of the north on the covered south terrace, which is equipped with comfortable garden furniture and a gas grill. For example, bicycles brought along can be safely parked in the equipment room.  In bad weather, we offer a selection of games and books. In the apartment you will find a folder with operating instructions & a guest folder with the most important information about your stay in our house (we will also send you this digitally by email before your holiday). As a special service, we also have a brochure wall with flyers for your activities. Our apartment is high quality and modernly furnished and offers all the amenities that promise a relaxing holiday. The triple-glazed plastic windows are equipped with electric external blinds. Other amenities include underfloor heating, a ventilation system with heat recovery, a large sliding door in the living room and white interior doors. Furthermore, you have Wi-Fi (fiber optic) throughout the apartment. It offers you plenty of space and tranquility to spend a relaxing vacation with the whole family. Thanks to our electronic door lock with key code, you are flexible in your arrival. Harkebrügge is close to Oldenburg (25 km), Bad Zwischenahn (20 km), Papenburg (38 km), North Sea (80 km) and Dutch border (60 km). In the center of Harkebrügge you will find a bakery, Edeka market, butcher, pharmacy, gas station, banks (Sparkasse and Volksbank), steakhouse and two snack bars. The distance to the center of Barßel is about 6 km. There are more shopping options, restaurants and a marina with a great playground for children. Canoe tours from Barßel to Harkebrügge are also offered. In the immediate vicinity of the lake is a barefoot park. Walks around the lake and adventurous forest paths are particularly worth mentioning here.
