Other things to note On the island, the prices for water and electricity are very high. An average family of 2 parents and 3 children can use 2 cubic meters of water and 100 kWh of electricity per week. These costs are not included in the house. The cost for water is Ang 15 - per cubic meter and electricity is done on the basis of a pre-paid (pagatinu) card. For the first day, of course, electricity is available in the house. For the remaining period, you can buy the pre-card from us or in any supermarket or gas station. To give you an idea, the electricity costs for a family of 5 people are estimated at 100 guilders per week. For water, a deposit is required based on an estimate at check-in. The unused part will of course be refunded upon check-out.
