The leather back turtle nesting period is from March to August. This long, dark sanded beach is great for swimming, sun-bathing and water-sports. At the other end of the bay is Fort Bennett. The Fort was built by the Dutch between 1628 and 1636. A small gazebo provides shelter and a panoramic view of Stonehaven Bay.
