Castelvetrano is renowned for its black bread and the cultivation of Nocellara del Belice olive trees. The main tourist attractions (in addition to Selinunte) are some churches: Church of Maria Santissima Assunta, Church of San Domenico, Church of San Giovanni Battista. In Sicily, there are two others, one in Mazara del Vallo and San Nicolò Regale and San Cataldo in Palermo. Among the civil buildings, the most important are certainly the Selinus Theater and the Selinuntino Civic Museum.
