Boulder Crest is an historic 1920’s cabin built on top of great boulders looking over Lake Arrowhead. This is the mountain-cabin fantasy come true -but with modern comforts. Private. The space This is an Arrowhead landmark. It was featured in the LA Times in 1930. It has been chosen to be showcased on the Arrowhead House Tour. The lake view is the best. The cabin is set back enough to get a perspective of the lake, but close enough to walk down to the lake. The bunk room is downstairs and ideal for sharing since it has its own bath, deck and entrance. The other two bedrooms are up two floors so there's a lot of privacy. Boulder Crest is set on three lots; there's play area and, again, more privacy. Check in time is 4pm and Check out time is 11am, unless otherwise agreed upon. The minimum stay during the week is 3 days. Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving rent only by the week. Before you book a few things to consider. This cabin is not for everyone. It is very old, magical and charming but it is not a resort, does not come with hot tubs, concierge services, and a lot of the luxury touches that you will find some, particularly newer places in the mountains . Writers have gotten Emmy awards and an Oscar nominations for the work they have done here, but they still had to go down the outside stairs to the bunk room to take a shower because the upstairs bath has only a tub. They had to supply their own firewood, and live without a 60" tv. Other things to note Dogs are allowable under certain circumstances.
