Quaint Elbe barge house from 1657 for 11 with sauna

Umgebinde 1657 is a charming traditional timber frame house on the sunny hillside in the spa town of Bad Schandau - just a few metres from the Elbe River and with a breathtaking view of the surrounding forests and rocks. A magical place in Saxon Switzerland for unforgettable moments with friends and family: hiking, exploring, cooking, reading, spending time together. Quaint, cosy and comfortable. Our sustainably renovated cultural monument offers plenty of space, peace and cosiness for up to 11. The space On 150 sqm you can meet with good friends or invite the whole family. Up to 11 people can eat, cook, relax, read and play together. You will sleep in three cosy bedrooms with double beds and a large family room with table football and wooden bunk beds (1x double bed and 3x single bed). There are three bathrooms (two with shower), the sauna in the old sandstone cellar, the cosy log cabin living room with a blazing stove, the large kitchen for the best moments cooking together, the mountain cellar for cold drinks, the garden with a large terrace for barbecuing and dining and the large (unfortunately already empty) wine barrel to sit in, drink and enjoy the view over the valley when it gets a bit colder in the evening. And another highlight: sitting in the warm bath barrel and looking up at the starry skies. Included are bed linen, towels, firewood, sauna use, cleaning, electricity and heating. Guest access Our timber-framed pearl is located in Bad Schandau (Krippen), the entrance to the Saxon Switzerland National Park, approx. 40 km south-east of Dresden. Bad Schandau is a state-recognised Kneipp spa, a Mecca for hiking and wellness enthusiasts and, since the beginning of tourism, THE fashionable summer resort in Saxon Switzerland. Arrival by paddle steamer (Elbkai Bad Schandau), bicycle (Elbradweg Abzweick Krippen), train (National Park railway station Bad Schandau or Krippen), car, bus (Alte Schule bus stop) or even leisurely on foot with a rucksack on your back. It's easy to get to Krippen, but leaving this little paradise on the Elbe will be difficult. You can park in our private car park and charge your e-cars here from Easter 2022. Check-in is available contactless starting 4 p.m. via a key safe or, if you wish, in person with a cool welcome drink directly out of the fresh cold spring in front of the house. Other things to note We have everything you need ready for you: Bed linen, towels (normal towel, shower towel, sauna towel), firewood and consumables for the kitchen (towels, dishwasher tablets, spices, soap, oil). Also included are sauna use, cleaning, electricity and heating. We only charge you for the guest card for the municipality and if you want to heat up the hot tub, we charge 25 EUR for electricity and our hard-working caretaker.
