The landlords are happy to welcome you to their apartment, surrounded by the city walls and the historic center of the small town of Burkheim on the sunny Kaiserstuhl. The vacation apartment is located directly in the historic center of Burkheim. The apartment is separate with its own entrance door and also on the ground floor without annoying stairs. There is only one step to the bedroom. The apartment is very cool in summer without air conditioning and therefore offers a wonderful indoor climate. A dreamlike bedroom with natural stone walls and beautiful furniture made of antique solid wood awaits you. There is a nice double bed (180 x 200 cm), which can also be separated. Thanks to beautiful indirect lighting and the great room climate, you will surely find a good night's sleep. The living room is a kitchen-living room. You have comfortable space for two here. As in the south, the ceilings are three meters high and thus give the impression that you are in Italy. At a beautiful natural stone counter, you can have breakfast or eat with up to four people. On the other side of the room you have a large pull-out living area (couch), which can be extended to a double bed (175 x 190 cm). The children can sleep on this couch. There is nothing missing in the kitchen. It is fully equipped with everything you need (oven, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, etc.) The bathroom is small but nice. There is a corner shower, sink and toilet. Hand soap, towels, toilet paper and a hair dryer are ready for you. For your luggage and for your supplies, you also have a small storage room. Inside there is a vacuum cleaner, empty box, etc. The apartment without storage room is just over 40 m². The location of the house is on the slope about 150 meters from the vineyards. There is also a large parking lot where you can park your vehicle for free. If you are disabled, the landlords will set up a parking space right in front of the apartment. Access to the apartment is in the courtyard of the property. You have a seating option right outside the apartment door either in an armchair or at a bistro table. The apartment is suitable for the disabled because it is at ground level except for one step. Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible. Your hosts will fulfill many wishes. So you can also rent e-bikes and bicycles. A rowing boat/4-person kayak is also available. The guestbook contains only very great entries. The apartment is quietly located in a corner of Burkheim away from noise and busy streets. In Burkheim, traditional tours with the night watchman still take place. These start at the Burkheim city gate. This city gate is located just 30 meters from the apartment. The beautiful medieval town enchants you through the narrow streets with the beautiful half-timbered houses, the small castle, the city gate, many cultural monuments and not least because of the delicious wine from the best imperial chair locations. Located directly on the Rhine directly on the French border (Alsace) and also Switzerland, you can start day trips to neighboring countries from here without any hassle. The Europa-Park in Rust can also be reached quickly. The town of Burkheim has about 900 inhabitants, so shopping opportunities are limited. However, a baker's shop/grocery store is available. The nearest major city is Breisach am Rhein - 10 km. Then comes Freiburg im Breisgau - 30 km. In the immediate vicinity is Switzerland and also France. Switzerland is about an hour away and neighboring France is only five minutes away. The world-famous Europa Park in Rust is also only half an hour from here.
