Welcome to our Bradatsch apartment. The apartment was newly designed in 2017. It is located in a quiet residential area in Catterfeld directly by the forest. The apartment is located on our property behind our house and is not fenced. Pets are only allowed on prior request!!!At the foot of the Rennsteig between Oberhof and Inselsberg. In the immediate vicinity are shops and restaurants about 7 km away. Public transport is well developed. Catterfeld, since 01/01/2020 a district of the newly founded rural municipality of Georgenthal, is a true gem on the edge of the western \"Thuringian Forest\". This former hillside settlement is the most seen village in the \"Thuringian Forest\" from the legendary \"Rennsteig\". The approx. 430-480 meters above above sea level with its approx. 700 inhabitants has a charming location. Here you will find peace and quiet, a mild stimulating climate and clean air. Numerous benches and seating groups ensure your well-being when hiking around the village. On the Johannisberg, not far from Catterfeld and in the directly adjacent district of Altenbergen, stands the candelabra built in 1811 and commemorates the Christianization of Thuringia by Boniface, who had built a baptismal chapel at this point. Our village is located directly on the federal highway B 88 and is therefore very easy to reach by traffic, including a good connection to the A 4 and A 71 highways. From the bus stop located centrally in the village, there are bus lines to Friedrichroda, Tabarz, Ohrdruf, Gotha and Oberhof. Our apartment is quietly located on the outskirts of the village or edge of the forest and is an ideal starting point for hikes in the surrounding area. Popular destinations include Erfurt Cathedral, Krämerbrücke, historic old town, Weimar Zoo, Herzogin Anna Amalia Library Eisenach, Wartburg, Luther and Bachhaus Gotha, Friedenstein Castle, zoo, natural history museum, historic old town Oberhof, winter sports center with ski hall and much more.
