Located just out of Margaret River, Ruse Estate is surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards. Situated on a stunning 80 acres, it's the perfect place to stay when you want to get away for some quiet adult only time. Featuring rolling parklands with a carriage on a beautiful dam with a jetty, a beautiful ‘lake’ on the Chapman Brook, natural bushland and a 16 acre vineyard. Going for a stroll around our property is our favorite past time, and it will be yours as well. Let our home be your home! The space Are you looking for a magical place to unwind with your loved one? Are you looking for a place to get away with a group of friends? Ruse Estate Retreat is the perfect location for couples to get away for some peace and quiet or to celebrate a special occasion. You can book all 3 chalets (8 persons in total) and get away with a group of friends to relax and enjoy the serenity of our property and make the most of what the South West wine country has to offer. Alternatively you can simply escape to Ruse Estate and not leave, soaking in all that our spectacular property has to offer. Our beautifully appointed modern understated elegant chalets have all of the luxuries of home (and more). Built to be solar passive, all of the chalets have stunning views of the surrounding areas, including rolling vineyard covered hills, our beautiful dam with jetty and quaint little train carriage, or views over our own vineyard and property. The kitchens feature local Marri and the island bench with the raw edge marri timber slab is beckoning you to pull up a stool and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the stunning views. The living areas have polished concrete floors and the bedrooms are carpeted. The windows are all dressed with blinds and stunning curtains. All of the bedrooms have Queen sized beds and beautiful quality linen. The chalets have timber furniture custom made by a local furniture artisan, which you are going to love. They feature reverse cycle air conditioning and when the season permits, a wood fire. The kitchens are fully equipped with modern conveniences and include a dishwasher, microwave and Nespresso compatible coffee maker. All of the chalets are fitted out a with washing machine, iron and ironing board. They feature bluetooth speakers, smart TV’s with free to air so you can log in to your favorite streaming services. Starlink Wi-Fi is supplied in all of the chalets, They also feature extensive covered outdoor decking areas with outdoor seating, a dining space and a gas BBQ. Marri chalet features 2 bedrooms, each with their own ensuite. One bathroom has a luxurious bathtub, while the other is fitted out beautifully with shower, toilet and custom made hand basin. Given we rely on rain water as a resource, we felt it was too much to have 2 baths in one chalet so you are going to have to come up with a way to solve who misses out- note that that will be your only issue while you stay with us! I find first dibs useful for problem solving- that or the winner is allocated driver for a day! The bedrooms and living areas all have north facing views and have been built to be solar passive with high clerestory windows to let the winter sun in. The chalets are also spaced far enough away from each other to guarantee privacy. We have an abundance of wildlife including endangered species such as phascagale, rakali, ring tail possums, masked owls and black cockatoos as well as many different species of frogs, so for the safety of our precious wildlife, we do not allow pets. Guest access Guests have full access to all of the open spaces on our property although we do ask for respect of privacy for the private residence in the middle of the property. The best way to enjoy our place is to walk around and explore. We advise that you bring practical walking shoes if you like to walk, for safety reasons. Not only is there a lake and a beautiful dam right opposite the chalets, there are so many other beautiful spots to explore. We have rapids in winter and the Chapman Brook meanders through our property. Kayaks are also supplied down at the lake for use of guests if you are confident in water.
