Located in the historic Palazzo Meneghet, once a hotel pensione, this ground-floor apartment exudes comfort and elegance. The thoughtful design and attention to detail by the homeowner ensure a delightful stay, combining the historic theme with contemporary comforts, including a modern kitchen. The vibrant colours chosen for the decor pay tribute to Menaggio's picturesque facades, terra cotta roof tiles, and the serene hues of the lake and surrounding mountains. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a spacious living room featuring a state-of-the-art kitchen, a cozy sitting area with a comfortable sofa, and a dining corner perfect for up to four guests. The room's centrepiece is a beautiful fireplace carved from Moltrasio rock, no longer in use but retaining its historical charm with side seating that once provided warmth. Two large windows open onto Via Castellino, offering a glimpse of the vibrant street life, with the lake just a two-minute walk away. Ascend the steps to the mezzanine area, where you’ll find a small sitting area that can be converted into two single beds. The vaulted ceilings create a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to relax with a book and a glass of wine or coffee. The master bedroom offers a queen size double bed, located just off the mezzanine, ensures privacy and features ample wardrobe space. The ground-floor bathroom is equipped with a large walk-in shower, basin, WC, and bidet, along with a laundry area complete with a washing machine and dryer. Guests can also enjoy the shared garden area of Palazzo Meneghette, which boasts two side-by-side pools and a grassy solarium perfect for sunbathing. A private covered parking spot is included for guests who need it. Please inform us of your estimated time of arrival a few days in advance by email or via Air BnB message so we can arrange meet and greet services. If you do not advise us of a late arrival outside the stipulated hours of 3 to 6pm, we reserve the right to charge a €50 surcharge to cover late arrival costs, which will be deducted from your security deposit. Check out is prior to 10am. PASSPORT REGISTRATON We will request passports of everyone in your group on arrival for passport registration, this is for the local police and tourist stats for the Regione Lombardia. TOURIST TAX Please keep in mind that the municipality of Menaggio charges a daily tourist tax of €3 per person. This amount will be collected in CASH by LoveComo at check in.
