Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: ☞ No Parties or Events Please consider your neighbours and keep the noise level down. ☞ Cleaning equipment and appliances such as a broom, mop and washing machine are provided. The home is professionally cleaned between each guest stay. This involves sanitising all kitchen surfaces, mopping and sanitising floors, cleaning bathrooms, changing towels, changing of linen, dusting and polishing of furniture. ☞ The home is self-catering To help get you started we provide you with tea, coffee and sugar, as well as some hand soap and shower gel, sunlight liquid and a lined kitchen bin. ☞ Load shedding is not a problem as our property is fitted with an inverter. ☞ Electric Stove Please note when cooking turn on extractor in order to get rid of any smoke and steam in the air. Please ensure that the stove as well as the extractor fan is turned off once you have finished cooking. Notes will be placed in order to explain the use of both as well as to give a friendly reminder to turn off once finished cooking. ☞ BBQ/Braai/Bonfire Should you wish to use this facility, we will not be held responsible if you burn or injure yourself while using it. ☞ Unforeseen circumstances South Africa is a developing economy, you may experience water outages and restrictions as well as problems with the fibre line. All faults are logged, and we rely on municipality to rectify the problem. We hope no outage lasts too long and we will try our best to keep you updated with the progress of the repairs. Unfortunately, any outages are out of our control. ☞ South Africa is a hot and humid country and flying and crawling insects are common We fumigate the unit quarterly and we provide you with a can of Doom (Insect Killer). ☞ We do not live at the property We are available between 8am – 5pm for video/voice calls, to help explain how to use/operate anything you may have difficulty using. Please note, that we are unable to come out and assist you after 5pm. ☞ General We check to ensure that all remote controls in the unit are working before check in. However, it may go flat during your stay, or after we have checked it. If this is the case, please let us know and we will deliver new batteries. All appliances are checked before your check in and confirmed working. However, things break outside of our control. Should an appliance not be working during your stay – Please let us know and we will have the repair done as soon as reasonably possible. We will assist you in all ways possible if this does happen. We check to ensure that the TV is operating and signed in before you check in. Sometimes things change and it signs out. If this is the case, please let us know and we will get you signed back in as soon as possible. ☞ Location features: Guests can enjoy a 10 min walk to the nearest shopping destination (Woolworths, Dischem, Checkers) as well as the nearest restaurants and pubs. The property is a stones throw away from the beach, with direct beach access. ☞ Reservations and changes. Additional nights may be added to your original booking, subject to availability at time of request. ☞ All cancellations will be subject to the cancellation policy. ☞ We only provide one set of keys for guests. If you lose your keys or lock yourself out – there is a call out fee for us to come and open up for you. ☞ Please note, monkeys are a common appearance in the area. They are not dangerous. However, please close all windows and balcony doors if you are not at home as they can come inside and steal your food and make a mess.
