Rainy Hill Retreat - The Cottage

A comfy Cottage in a unique setting. The property is located on 16 acres of natural bush and towering gum trees. Wake to the sound of the many types of native birds and at night watch out for the wombats, Wallabies and Kangaroos. We are not located within walking distance to shops but they are approximately a 7 minute drive away. Unfortunately we are not set up for children and babies to stay, we are adults only. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The space Lovely bungalow furnished in modern country French style which is separate from the main house, approximately 15 metres. There are no cooking facilities apart from a kettle, fridge, microwave and toaster, but if a weekend away from all that is what you are after there are many great restaurants and takeaway places, or perhaps put a platter together and enjoy with a glass of wine on your verandah. Tea and coffee facilities are provided. We are on tank water and The Cottage water is slightly discoloured from gum leaves, it is drinkable but we supply clear water from the main tank which you can top up as required. You are located next to the main house with a driveway separating the 2 buildings so completely unattached. When finding our place you will see a flying pig letter box and a gate with a sign saying Rainy Hill Retreat. Please open gate and come in. If are looking for accommodation walking distance to shops and cafes then we aren’t for you as we are amongst bush and farm land. The nearest shop is a short 5 kilometres drive away to Cockatoo Main Street or Gembrook. Guest access Guests are welcome to wander around the property to take in the sounds of the birds and tranquil surrounds.
