The property’s rural location makes it a great base for walkers, with numerous scenic footpaths to be explored directly from your front door. The nearby village of Langham (1.5 miles) has a cosy pub to refuel in at the end of the day. Excursions from the cottage include Blakeney Point (3 miles) and the seaside resort of Cromer (14 miles). The space The single-storey, former village forge is bursting with personality and charm, with a fabulous beamed ceiling and an eclectic mix of country cottage-style furniture and accessories. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and far-reaching rural views. Relax here, after a day at the coast, rustling up romantic dinners for two to share at the cute dining table, or snuggling up on the sofa to watch the TV/DVD in the glow of the cosy wood burner. When it’s time for bed, retire to the pretty double bedroom for a good night’s rest. A bright and airy bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed garden is predominantly laid to lawn, with a small, sunny patio area for al fresco dining. Heading north, you’ll soon reach the beautiful North Norfolk coastline, where you can join the clifftop paths for exhilarating hikes with breathtaking views. Your nearest beach is the peaceful stretch of shingle at Cley-next-the-Sea. Further afield, beautiful, sandy shorelines can be easily reached at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea (both within 11 miles). Wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element at Blakeney Point, home to England’s largest colony of grey seals. For shopping and eating out, the Georgian market town of Holt is 4 miles away.
