Springhill Cottage has been kitted out in graceful country-cottage style, creating a harmonious and serene feel. The space With endlessly fascinating river views from all bedrooms and the upper patio, unrivalled coastal walking from your door, and a choice of great beaches, you can look forward to a proper South Cornwall seaside holiday. Inside, the feel is light and airy, with gentle paint shades and traditional British fabric patterns. In the large sitting room, there's plenty of space for family time, and in cooler months the wood burner keeps everything toasty. You'll love the careful touches, elegant furnishings and decorative references to the village's maritime heritage, as much as the original items such as warm natural wood floors, bright sash windows and feature fireplaces. Outside, an enclosed garden and two patio areas await for peaceful morning coffee or sundowner cocktails. Fowey village across the river has boutique shops and varied restaurants – enjoy the famous fish and chips as you watch yachts glide past. Mackerel-fishing trips and guided kayaking expeditions can be arranged, and there's a 6-mile circular walk to Polkerris Beach, where you can try windsurfing and paddle boarding. 18th century Charlestown Harbour with its traditional wooden ships and Shipwreck Museum, or St Austell for a tour of the famous brewery, are both within 18 miles. Closer to home, you'll find inspiring coastal scenery along the South West Coast Path. A luggage drop off point is approx 300yards from the cottage. You will need to carry your luggage up the slope along Chapel Lane from this point. - No private parking. Parking available in nearby car parks (charges apply) - Please note there are 13 long tread steps and a steep slope up to the cottagePolruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. - Amenities such as the ferries, pubs and shop in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. - There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village about an 8 minute walk away from the cottage.
