Welcome to our stylish and spacious 1920's detached home-from-home on the outskirts of Southampton, less than 15 minutes from the unique Peppa Pig World and the stunning New Forest. With it’s 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, beautiful garden and huge cabin, the space is just as perfect for families and friends to socialise and chill-out in, as for those needing to stay for nearby work. Smart TVs in every bedroom, plenty of free parking, with the M27 motorway and supermarkets only a few minutes away. The space Downstairs, guests will find the open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen, creating a lovely feeling of space and sociability. Also downstairs are 3 bedrooms (2 small-doubles and 1 single), a Wetroom and a shower room. Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms (2 spacious doubles and 1 single) plus a family bathroom. The living room has a variety of comfortable seating options, a large bay window, an HD Smart TV with a hard-wired HDMI connection for laptops and games consoles, and lots of great board games. The kitchen has a full-size dishwasher for convenience (dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels, etc, are all supplied) and is well-stocked with plenty of pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses, and everything guests need for preparing meals, snacks or enjoying takeaways! There is a water filter jug as the house is in a hard water area, and there’s always plenty of salt, pepper, oil, herbs, spices, etc. The dining area has an oak table with 8 chairs and soft low pendant lighting for relaxed mealtimes. There are a further 2 chairs available so that the table can seat 10 guests if needed. The downstairs single bedroom has been designed to accommodate guests with disabilities or mobility needs, and has an electric adjustable bed and an en-suite accessible wetroom. The doorways to both the bedroom and wetroom have been widened and have sliding doors. The wetroom has a raised toilet and grab rails for maximum independence. Off the hallway there's a utility area containing a washing-machine (laundry liquids are supplied), ironing mat and iron, clothes drying rack, hoover, extra toilet rolls, a basic First Aid kit, and antibacterial hand gel. There is a retractable washing line in the garden. Every bedroom is very comfortably furnished, individually designed, and has a chest of drawers, hanging space with plenty of hangers, a smart TV, and a full-size mirror. There is a hairdryer in the master bedroom. All bed linens and towels are included. Guests will find a generous supply of hand soap, body wash, and shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom. Outside there is a really lovely south-facing garden with a very large deck, tables and seating for 10, and a gas BBQ. There is a raised pond built into the deck (this is not covered so guests must be aware of the need to supervise young children around the pond at all times). Also in the garden is our huge cabin, complete with comfortable sofas and chairs. We love guests to enjoy the outside space but do require them to be considerate with noise at all times and to observe Quiet Hours outdoors between 10pm and 8am - we have lovely neighbours and don’t wish to upset them! For this reason we CANNOT accept bookings for loud gatherings of guests. To keep our very young guests busy and happy we have a fantastic Peppa Pig play mat and toys set up in the garden cabin, and lots of books. And for their safety there are 2 travel cots, 2 high chairs, and 2 stair gates available on request. We also have children’s plastic crockery and cutlery in the kitchen. We love dogs! They are always welcome to stay providing they are not left alone in the house, don’t go upstairs or on the beds, are quiet, and that guests always supervise them in the garden and pick up all poo carefully (bags provided)! The house has Smart Hive heating which guests can adjust any time of the day or night for their comfort, and Superfast Fibre Broadband. For guests’ safety there is a fire blanket, mains powered smoke and carbon dioxide detectors, and emergency lighting. The house is very conveniently located - there are bus stops right outside that take you direct into the City Centre, and there’s a scooter rank at the end of the road. There's driveway parking for 1-2 cars, 1 on-verge space directly outside the house, and further free parking nearby if more spaces are needed. EV charging is available about 3 minutes away at the local LIDL car park. There are a range of supermarkets nearby, with Sainsbury’s being just a 1 minute drive or 5 minute walk away. Southampton has first-rate shopping, eating, and leisure opportunities. Peppa Pig World is less than 15 minutes away. The stunning New Forest National Park is easily reached and offers a huge array of experiences and attractions, with many gorgeous beaches less than 40 minutes away in and around Bournemouth. The fantastic historic cities of Winchester and Portsmouth are also just a 20-30 minute drive away. Guest access Guests have use of the entire house and its contents, with just a couple of exceptions outside: 1. there is a small conservatory which we use for storage and is not for guests’ use (we keep this locked). 2. the garden is very large and is split into 2 parts: the area closest to the house has a low fence and IS for guests use; the further part (beyond the cabin and fence) is very overgrown and still being developed - it is not safe for guests so is NOT currently for guests’ use Other things to note The property is NOT available for loud gatherings due to our close neighbours. Guests are required to be respectful and considerate with their noise levels and behaviour, especially when out in the garden at all times, with quiet hours outside in the garden between 10pm and 8am.
