Lejos is a boutique hotel in Vieques with a unique landscape experience. We feature 10 modern Landscape Suites built from shipping containers—each with a private deck and stunning ocean views—and 3 Casona Suites. All accommodations include a private bedroom and ensuite bathroom. As a hotel, we operate with standard policies: check-in at our reception is required, a credit card is held for incidentals, and we are an adults-only (18+) property. The space Lejos is a thirteen-room landscape hotel located in Vieques' hilly and lush Pilón sector, gifted with inspiring sunrises, sunsets and hardly any noise or light pollution. Choose from our signature Casona guest rooms or our modern, minimalist Landscape Suites. All accommodations feature modern ensuite bathrooms with rain showers, gel-infused hybrid mattresses, organic percale linens, and hypoallergenic bamboo pillows. Our Landscape Suites offer elevated panoramic views of the sea, while all rooms enjoy the serenity of our rolling hills and infinite skies. Guests can enjoy our on-site Melao Social Club, a curated cocktail lounge and dining destination featuring a creative fusion menu. Open November through June. Lejos is an adults-only facility and welcomes guests 18+. Guest access Your stay at Lejos is designed to be effortless. Upon arrival, our team will personally welcome you, assist with your check-in, and provide local recommendations. Throughout your stay, you have complete access to your private accommodations, our lush property grounds, and the saltwater infinity pool. Guests are also welcome to experience our creative fusion menu and curated cocktail program at Melao Social Club (open seasonally, November–June). Other things to note HOTEL POLICIES & ARRIVAL INFORMATION CHECK-IN & LUGGAGE: Reception is open 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. We cannot guarantee early check-ins; however, when available, we offer a prorated early access fee. Luggage drop-off is welcome after 9:00 AM. LATE ARRIVALS: If arriving after 6:00 PM, you must notify us 48 hours in advance. ROOM TAX: A 2% local room tax is mandatory and due upon check-in. If you anticipate arriving after 4:00 PM (when our on-site team is focused on Melao Social Club), please reach out via the app so we can provide a secure payment link to settle this in advance. ACCOMMODATION SUITABILITY: Our Landscape Suites (containers) are compact and may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns or large luggage. We recommend our Casona Rooms for more space or specific accessibility needs. Pets are strictly prohibited in Landscape Suites; please inquire about our pet-friendly Casona options. PROPERTY TERRAIN & LUGGAGE: Lejos is an immersive nature retreat. Accessing our Landscape Suites requires walking along a scenic path featuring natural terrain (grass, gravel, and dirt). While we strive to be helpful whenever our operational schedule allows, we are not a full-service hotel and do not provide dedicated porter or bellhop services. We kindly ask that guests arrive prepared to manage their own luggage. UTVs are reserved strictly for property maintenance and are not available for guest or luggage shuttle services. HYDRATION & SUSTAINABILITY: As part of our commitment to eco-conscious practices and minimizing plastic waste, we provide complimentary filtered water service at Melao Social Club during operational hours. For your convenience, we also offer bottled water for purchase at the reception. Please plan your hydration needs accordingly, as complimentary water service is limited to the lounge’s hours of operation. AMENITIES: Complimentary coffee is served daily, 8:30-10:00 AM. Melao Social Club (cocktail lounge and dining) is open seasonally, November–June. CONNECTIVITY: Wi-Fi is available as a complimentary amenity in our public areas, including Melao Social Club and the pool deck. Please note that Wi-Fi is not currently available inside the Landscape Suites.
