There are many public and private boat launches including Hot Waters Marina in Lorain (5 min drive) as well as Sheffield Lake Public Boat Launch (4 min drive), Avon Lake Boat Launch (7 min drive) Beaver Park Marina, (7 min drive) Copper Kettle Marina (10 min drive), Romp's Water Port (20 mins), and many others. There is a designated path for biking on both sides of the street. We are just 5 minutes from the Mile-Long Pier which offers breathtaking views, fishing, dining and stargazing. The house is situated directly on Route 6, also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway, which is the second longest highway in the United States. This historic roadway built in 1925 traverses all the way from Long Beach, California to Provincetown, Massachusetts. Blaze a trail on the longest transcontinental highway in the US.
