This characteristic apartment between Amsterdam and Utrecht offers you everything you need during your vacation or "workation." Right in the middle of the small historic center of Kockengen is this upper house, renovated and made sustainable in 2023. - Apartment "Heicop" is suitable for relaxing vacation or work related stay. - Nice workplace with fast internet connection / WiFi. - Centrally located, yet in the middle of nature. - Free parking within walking distance. The space From this location, you can reach both Amsterdam and Utrecht in about 20 minutes by car. Rotterdam, The Hague and the beautiful Dutch beaches can also be reached in 40 minutes. This makes it the perfect base from which to explore the nature of the Groene Hart, to visit the cities in the Randstad or to have a nice workplace close to conference centers such as the Jaarbeurs or the RAI Amsterdam. This authentic apartment can accommodate 2 to a maximum of 4 people. An open kitchen/living room, bedroom with double box spring and bathroom en suite, separate toilet and a sleeping loft for 2 children (or adults who are able to walk well). Note: The apartment is located near a church, so you may experience some nuisance from church bells. Guest access The apartment is fully intended for our guests, is accessible 24/7 and has its own staircase. You have a covered and lockable bicycle shed, equipped with a charging point. Other things to note The sleeping loft has 2 separate single beds, which can also be pushed together to a double bed. Adults can be on the loft. You must be sufficiently mobile, because the stairs to it are quite steep. For children also a very nice place to sleep, however it is not suitable for small children under 5 years. The space is heated and cooled with an air conditioner. It is easy to use and the temperature can be set to your liking. SURROUNDINGS Within walking distance you will find a lunch cafe, cafeteria/eatery, restaurant, supermarket, butchery and some small shops. The surroundings of Kockengen are a beautiful area with countless hiking and cycling routes, but you can also discover beautiful gems here with a (rental)boat. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION The village of Kockengen has several bus stops where buses regularly leave for Breukelen, Woerden, Vleuten Station and castle village Haarzuilens. In the evening run late at night and at night and no buses to and from Kockengen. The nearest train station is in Breukelen (+/- 4 km) and offers train connections to all cities nearby, such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Schiphol Airport. NOISE The apartment is close to a church with church bells, which could experience noise nuisance. Many people appreciate the charm of it. RENTAL BIKES Based on availability, there are, for a small expense allowance, 2 bicycles with bike lock for rent during your stay. Feel free to ask about the possibilities and costs. HOUSE RULES Smoking is not allowed in the apartment. Pets are not welcome.
