The cottage is within walking distance to the shops and pubs allowing you to enjoy a meal out in the village or across the river in Fowey accessed by a regular passenger ferry. In Fowey you will find more pubs, restaurants and shops. The space Don’t miss out on the local beaches or local attractions like Catherine’s Castle in Fowey, Readymoney Cove, Ferryside in Bodinnick, perhaps consider travelling further afield to The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan or Bodmin Jail. Enter the property through the shared gateway and 9 slate steps, guests will find themselves in the surprisingly spacious cottage. On the ground floor of this reverse-level cottage you will find two cosy double bedrooms and the large family bathroom with bath and underfloor heating, separate shower and WC. Proceeding upstairs to the first floor you come to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and Tassimo coffee machine. The dining area has a lovely round table which extends to easily seat 6 chairs. The lounge area has 2 comfortable sofas to cosy up on in front of the wood burner while watching your favourite film on the Smart TV/DVD. On this floor you will also find the third bedroom which is a comfortable king-size with additional Smart TV. Stepping outside of the property and to the rear you will find the garden which is accessed via 26 steep slate steps. It is a large elevated garden with adjoining decking area with wonderful views across the harbour to Fowey and garden WIFI. Parts of the top garden are kept long with wild flowers throughout. There is a basement under the cottage which provides the utility area with a washing machine and has plenty of storage room. Luggage drop off is approx 200 yards from the cottage - There is a slope up to the cottage via Chapel Lane, followed by 9 slate steps up to the front door. - A further 26 slate/ wooden steps up to the decking area. - Basement utility area has reduced head height . - Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. - Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. - There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village.
