Checkered Duck on Waneta Lake

Kick back and relax in our completely rebuilt traditional lake cottage. We are located in the heart of Finger Lakes region and close to numerous wineries, breweries and amazing hiking. Unwind at the water’s edge after exploring a day at wineries or spending a fun day on the lake. Enjoy amazing views and amenities at our Waneta Lake cottage. The space Full kitchen includes anything you need to prepare your meals from pots and pans to spices. Feel free to reach out to check on an item you need. If it’s not there, we can most likely get if for you. Living space includes a 55” TV, oversized love seat and two swivel chairs. All furniture can be easily rearranged to suit your needs whether it is watching a movie on tv or enjoying the lake views. Counter height dining table seats four with four additional stools seated at the island. One full bathroom includes walk-in shower, vanity and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Bedroom includes queen sized bed. Loft area includes two full sized beds. Please note that the loft space does not have a door and is one open space with two beds. Be sure to see the pictures. It is a comfortable space but does not offer privacy. The only private bedroom space is the one queen bed in the bedroom. Deck off the front of the cottage offers lake views and an eating area for four. Patio below the deck offers seating, a charcoal grill and access to the lake. Dock offers fishing opportunities and access to swim in the lake or entry to provided kayaks. Four kayaks and paddles are included with the cottage. A variety of life jackets are also available for your use. Corn hole boards and grilling utensils for the charcoal grill are also provided. Other things to note Because Waneta is a small lake, it is more prone to lake weeds than larger lakes. Especially during July and August, guests should expect some level of lake weeks to be present. We do our best to clean weeds from shore before every guests’ arrival, but we cannot guarantee a weed free lake experience.
