Description

Situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, this beautiful property is perfect for a couple who want to explore the stunning Derbyshire countryside. The space The historic village, famous for its medieval Sheepwash Bridge, occupies a fantastic central location, allowing guests to explore the whole national park, including the dramatic Dark Peak in the north and the limestone plateaus of the White Peak to the south. In the grounds of the farmhouse, a low dry-stone wall surrounds the traditional stone property. On entering, you’ll find yourselves in the bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where vaulted ceilings add to the sense of space. On the same floor, there is a double bedroom with gorgeous countryside views and a shower room. Outside, a private patio offers a lovely spot for al fresco dining against a backdrop of unbridled countryside. Whatever your sport, there will be something for you nearby, with walking and cycling routes on your doorstep, canoeing on the River Wye and climbing and caving in nearby Castleton (12.5 miles). The biggest town in the national park, Bakewell, which is also famous for its pudding, is only 1.5 miles away and is the start of the Monsal Trail, an 8.5-mile traffic-free walking route.
