Spring conditions! Get it before it’s gone!

Halfway down a quiet street that ends in the forest, you can wander out the door of my A-frame mountain home on foot to the majestic pines with peaceful trails, wildlife, a lake, a river, beautiful views and crisp mountain air. Two nearby ski resorts are minutes away; dining, grocery, nightlife, and breakfast spots are within walking distance. Inside you will find a creative space with your private bedroom, unshared bath, shared kitchen access. Easy off-street parking, minutes from US-50. The space While the main entrance into the sunroom is very pleasant, Fluffy, who is eager to meet you, is also keen to escape, and bounce at the first opportunity. To avoid that there is a side entrance that takes you through the Polar Laundry Room with its blizzard of snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, directly to the Fox room on the left. Fluffy will be making a fuss in an attempt to lure you into his world. Come to the large main room to meet this adorable husky, tour the kitchen, see your refrigerator space, and take in the requisite cabin decor; a forest of trees on the far wall, an antler inspired chandelier. Other wall space features framed trail maps of nearby ski resorts and a 3D representations of Lake Tahoe Basin topography. The two upper windows have customized sills wide enough on one side for kitties to perch via their climbing route on the forest wall. The other sill features an array of glass birds curated during the pandemic when I envisioned anticipating various hues reflecting sunlight bringing joy and inspiration, thus, the Arthouse Birdhouse. During the day when the sun hits just right, crystals in the upper windows reflect rainbows throughout the living room and kitchen creating a whimsical magical and mystical vibe. The bright yellow shared kitchen has wasabi green accents, a yellow retro-inspired gas stove, butcher block counters and stainless steel beside the stove. Cabinet knobs, the leaf green tin backsplash carry the forest chalet theme culminating in a pine-paneled ceiling with appropriate light fixture. The Moose Room is a cozy, minimally-shared moose-themed hangout with comfy chairs and side tables. Exercise equipment is tucked into cubbies for aprės stretching and rolling (before or after a jacuzzi sesh under the stars). There’s a 48” wall-mounted flat-screen tv. Bring your own streaming if desired. The Fox Room, eponymously themed with appropriate decor, has plenty of open surfaces upon which to spread out. Bright sunlight bathes this room during the day which can be mitigated with black-out curtains that turn day into night. An oversized window frames the backyard and jacuzzi. Closet space, luggage stands, and under-bed drawers provide everything I can think of for your comfort or convenience. Quality linens and towels are 100% cotton. Guest access You have a choice of spaces inside, pictured in the photo tour. Upon main entry is a sunroom which is lovely when it is warmed comfortably by radiant sunlight. The sunroom leads to the main entry which opens into a large room with exposed beams and giant windows. Although Fluffy and I are often here in the evenings this is a shared space and I’m happy to relocate. Fluffy will keep you company. The kitchen and dining area are adjacent and lead into a hallway. The first room on your left is the Moose Room, a den, office, and stretching area with comfortable seating, small tables, and a television. Please note that I do not have cable. BYOSS: bring your own streaming service. Next door on the left is the Fox Room sleeping quarters. The door to this room is kept closed to keep the kitties and their fur out, and safeguard the plants. This is your private domain while you are here; I will not enter. Your towels and washcloths are on a towel rack here and in the bathroom with extras in one of the drawers under the bed. Other drawers contain extra sheets, pillowcases, beach towels, a variety of charging cables, light blankets, a clock radio, earplugs, and reusable shopping bags for your convenience during your stay. The drawers are labeled. The closet has two fold-out luggage stands along with space and empty hangers, various robes for the jacuzzi, another blanket, and additional pillows to suit your preference. Directly across from the Fox Room is your well-stocked private bathroom. There are additional provisions in the drawers and hooks to hang damp towels. This bathroom is unshared during your stay. The alternate entrance brings you through the Polar Laundry room with drying racks, hooks, boot rack/warmer, washer and dryer, a deep sink and an optional side entry/exit. First-aid supplies are on a top shelf in the closet which is also where you will find an iron. The Polar Room is a shared space. It is where I feed kitties Marmot and Moguls, so I do go in and out of there, tip-toeing past the Fox room a few times a day. During your stay Although I am truly eager to meet you and hear your adventure plans, I overwhelmingly recognize that you are here on a getaway to visit this amazing place I call home and your priority is making memories with your partner or doing your own thing. I’m never offended if you prefer not to chat yet I’m happy to be called upon to answer questions and provide insight. For minimal interaction there’s a direct route to the Fox room via a side door.
