Sunday Well cottage overlooking the stunning county Down countryside. 3 Star NITB registered. All on one level. The cottage comprises of 1 spacious bedroom (with smart T.V), modern bathroom, and large open plan living/dining area. This light filled space has WIFI, Smart TV. The modern kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer & coffee machine. Private parking & paved terrace with views of the rolling countryside - the perfect spot to watch the sunset in front of the firepit area. The space The cottage was recently lovingly restored and is completely private for guest use only. The space is luxurious and perfect for couples, solo adventures, business travellers and families with an infant. Sit back on the paved terrace and enjoy the beautiful countryside view's in complete peace and quiet. When the sun goes down you have full access to the large fire pit area. Snuggle up under warm blankets and watch the stars emerge in the nights sky. Guests also have use of the entire grounds which includes: - BBQ & large Firepit - Large terrace (with seating & dining area) - Laundry cabin with washing machine & facilities - lockable bike storage - charging point (metered outdoor socket for E.V) - WIFI (High speed Fiber) - Free parking - Boat parking available - Outdoor adventure & sporting equipment storge - Guests are not permitted to use the proprerty (address) for deliveries from Royal Mail or couriers unless discussed prior with the host. Delievered items will not be accepted and returned. We will refer out guests to a local collection point. Guest access As this is a rural location guest's would need to have access to a vehicle to avail of local amenities. There is free parking on site for 2 vehicles. There is ample room for RV parking for those travellers wanting to park-up. We can also make accommodation for boat parking if required. We have a secure lock up area for people travelling on bikes along with addational storage. The accommodationis throughout is all on one level. Other things to note A welcome pack will be available on arrival, to include fresh bread, milk, eggs, and a selection of locally sourced goodies to help enhance your stay. Where possible, the welcome pack can be prepared to accommodate food allergies/intolerance. Please advise at the time of booking, we will endeavour to accommodate. We have a local company close by that can prepare and deliver home grown and home cooked scrumptious meals prior to your arrival; Ballytrim Pantry. There is also an amazing local wine supplier/shop, JN wine, Crossgar. Local Irish gin & whiskey distillery; Rademon Estate Distillery. Please contact us in advance of your stay for details and order inquiries. We are happy to facilitate deliveries to the cottage so they are available for you when you arrive. Sunday Well Cottage is in a rural location we would ask our guests to be considerate of our neighbours. We operate a strict no additional guests policy without prior notification. We are happy to welcome families with a small child. We will endeavour to lighten your travel load by supplying a travel cot, baby bath, high chair and baby monitor. Please make any requests when booking, we can ensure the items are in place for you when you arrive. A fold out single guest bed is available to accommodate a 3rd guest- this would be ideal for a young child. Please advise at the time of booking if this would be useful for you. We currently do not have provision for pets at Sundaywell Cottage. We are working to develop a new area within the grounds that we hope to have available for well trained & behaved dogs in late 2025. We will update our listing when this become available for guests and their pets. The cottage is named after the old holy well close to our property named 'Sunday Well' thought to be connected to St Patrick. An old blacksmiths forge once operated at the property also named 'Sunday Well'. Sundaywell Cottage is situated 2 miles to Crossgar and 2.5 miles to the picturesque town of Killyleagh on the shores of Strangford lough. There is so much to do in the local area, we are happy to offer itinerary suggestions and share local information. The property is a perfect base for guests attending events and weddings.
