An attractive country cottage nestled in the beautiful Somerset village of North Perrott - not far from the Dorset border. The cottage sleeps four, and has been updated in recent years. The design balances the original period cottage features with modern comfort and luxury in mind. This can be a fantastic base of exploring and dog walking, a romantic retreat for couples or a base for families near the Dorset coast and nearby attractions such as the Fleet Air Arm museum in Yeovil. The space This is a traditional Grade 2 listed ham-stone cottage, built in 1800, with a new extension (kitchen and upstairs bathroom & bedroom) which has been added in the last few years. The living room, is perfect for watching TV or films on the Smart TV, or for reading in front of the log burning stove following expeditions in the surrounding area. A separate dining room, with table and four chairs, also has a games cupboard, and another reading space with a selection of books. The bedrooms upstairs, together with a modern bathroom with bath and shower over, have comfortable bedding and clean linen. Icelandic wool blankets will keep the cold off if you are staying in deep winter! Other things to note Our cottage has some low lintels, especially going into the kitchen from the sitting room and the double bedroom upstairs. Please be careful of your head! The stairs are steep and twisty so please take care and use the hand bannister. Be mindful when taking large items upstairs to not bump the walls, and be balanced when coming back downstairs with luggage.
