Dairy Cottage is a period stone farmhouse on a small farm where horses are now kept. It is an attractive property with some rural views over fields to the downs and glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle from the master bedroom. The castle is within a 15 minute walk of the cottage. This is a lovely area which is popular with walkers who hike the numerous paths and trails. Local walks include the Tennyson Trail which runs all the way to Freshwater and The Needles. The space Cycle routes across the downs also start nearby. Visitors have the whole of the Isle of Wight at their doorstep as this central location affords easy access to all locations on the Island and puts any beach on both the East and West coast within a 20 minute drive. Dairy Cottage is a property with many original features and has been decorated and furnished with care. On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room which has a large fireplace with a wood burning stove creating a rich homely feel to a comfortable and relaxing room. It also has sofas and a flat screen television with Freesat and DVD player. There is also a fitted kitchen equipped with electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine; a twin bedroom with an adjacent shower room with basin and WC; a large conservatory with comfortable seating and French doors opening into the garden. (Access to the conservatory is through the twin bedroom). Stairs lead up to two further bedrooms - a second twin bedroom and double room. Both of these bedrooms enjoy rural views and there are glimpses of nearby Carisbrooke Castle from the double bedroom. There is also a second bathroom with a bath, hand shower, basin and WC. A door which leads to the rear of the property from the landing affords level access to the top floor of Dairy Cottage. A wooden cot and highchair are available. Dairy Cottage has an enclosed garden and a patio area with garden furniture. There is a barbecue and seating area to enjoy outside dining, as well as a grassed area for children to play. A public house is within a 15 minute walk. Shops, another public house, Italian restaurant and a small supermarket in Carisbrooke Village centre are a 20 minutes walk away.
