Wild & Woolly Country Guesthouse Retreat

Bring the whole family to our peaceful farm with lots of room to hang out, but central to the seaside Town of Sidney, and a short walk to the beach! Our property is a small hobby farm with animals out on pasture and all the space you need to breathe and relax. A gorgeous patio gives you a view over the duck pond where morning coffees are in full sun. The charming Town of Sidney has everything from a fine dining, breweries, to cinemas. The space When you walk into our guest home you will find beautifully high ceilings in a newly updated open concept space great for dining, lounging, playing games, or just hanging back and watching TV. Overlooking the farm are two large bedrooms fitted with comfortable mattresses and cozy linens. The bathroom boasts a new bathtub/shower, great for soaking. Exterior: Our guest house is located in a separate building on our 5 acre farm. The guest house is a second floor space, so please be aware that there are stairs to access it. The patio spaces are very private and both have stunning views at every turn. Coffee time has a whole new sense of serenity on our farm, and the patio is the place to have it! Early risers can watch the sunrise over neighbouring fields. Or mid-day you can relax back with a cup of tea and watch livestock munching grass on the front field, or spy on ducklings zooming across our beloved duck pond, which is also home to all kinds of feathered friends - ducks, herons, bald eagles, and owls. For bird lovers, our area is renowned for its vast number of bird species. We are a country retreat tucked away in the middle of town. We have the serenity of country life, with the convenience of town a few minutes away. The Town of Sidney has everything you can imagine; including shopping, museums, dining, a waterfront walkway, a cinema, breweries, distilleries, coffee shops, and grocery stores, to name a few. There are ample areas to hike, and the Galloping Goose Trail will take you right down to Victoria. The Vancouver and Gulf Island ferries are close by, as is the airport. Amenities: The kitchen is stocked with cooking staples for your convenience. Regardless of your morning routine, we've got you covered. Coffee lovers can enjoy either stovetop espresso, or a drip. Tea lovers have many caffeinated and non-caffeinated options. There's also a blender for smoothies. Feel free to use the laundry machine (soap is provided) and dishwasher (soap is provided) at your leisure. Travelling with children? Not a problem. We have games and puzzles, as well as toys and books available. There is a Pack-n-Play crib available, and can be set up upon request. Please be aware that the fire place does not have a guard, and there is no guard for the stairs on the patios. Also, children need to be supervised at all times while outside. Pet Friendly: We are a pet friendly home, and have many ourselves that roam the pastures and fields. We ask that your pet stays off the beds and the furniture (sofas and chairs). Please do not leave your pet unattended in the house. Pets have to be on leash while outside for their safety and our livestock's. Please register your pet when you book. Guest access Guests are welcome to the entire guest house and the two patios attached to the guest house. Walking the farm is by request, to keep everyone safe. Parking is not a problem, and there are spaces available right beside the entrance to the guesthouse. Well lit stairs and patio entrance makes checking in after dark a breeze. Other things to note Upon request, we can arrange a chance for you to get out onto the ocean and into the Gulf National park via yacht. Relax on one of the beautiful white sand beaches of Sidney Island, or visit Salt Spring Island for their summer market. We live in one of the most beautiful boating areas in the world.
