Jubilee Farms on the Shire River

Welcome to Jubilee Farms! We are located in Zalewa, Malawi, about an hour from Blantyre CBD. The 3-hectare Jubilee Farms property is the perfect space for your family and friends, church/youth group, workmates, or school group looking to get away from the city and experience the serenity, peace, and relaxation the African bush has to offer. The swimming pool serves as a welcome relief from the mid-day heat during hot season and the fireplace is a cozy companion during cold-season! The space There are two houses you will have access to during your stay at Jubilee Farms: 1. Main house: contains 3 bedrooms, 3 bunk beds, 1 King bed, 1 single bed, main kitchen, and 3 bathrooms. 2. Moto house: contains 1 large room, 3 bunk beds, 1 kitchenette, and a bathroom/shower. Some other amenities to make your stay more enjoyable at Jubilee Farms: fans in every room, solar-powered electricity, and bore-hole water to both houses. This means that as long as there is sun, you will never have to worry about load-shedding or water issues during your stay! We have several very friendly staff who stay in quarters at the back of the property who will always be willing to help with any questions you may have and aid in preparation of food for cooking. Feel free to visit our friendly chickens and ducks who will be happy to supply you with delicious eggs for your breakfast while you enjoy your visit. We have beautiful vegetables growing in our garden of which you can feel free to help yourself (depending on the season). As Jubilee Farms is located just along the Shire River, we do ask that you refrain from walking down along the banks of the river. There is a possibility of crocodiles and hippos as the river is their home! The houses are set up far enough away from the Shire that the danger of these animals coming out of the river for a visit is extremely small. Jubilee Farms is owned by a Malawian-run Christian NGO that seeks to honor God in all that we do, and as such we ask that you refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages and illicit drugs onto the property. Guest access You will have full access to both homes, shared pool space, and all other amenities on the grounds except the adjacent house (Jubilee Cottage which is a separate booking).
