Magpie House is only a 7-minute drive from the Aspen airport and just blocks from world-class shopping, incredible restaurants, bars, music venues, art galleries, grocery stores, pharmacy, parks and all the beautiful Aspen core has to offer. A car isn’t even necessary! You can access all 4 mountains with ease even with all your gear in tow. The new Paepcke Park Transit Hub across the street provides free skier shuttles to and from Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk & Snowmass. The Transit Hub also offers Car-to-Go, public EV chargers & WE-cycle stations in the summer. Have an affinity for the little things? The kitchen is open to the dining room, which features a beautiful expandable dining table that seats up to 10 guests. Dividing the dining room and living room is a stunning & massive 2-sided glass DaVinci fireplace. Traveling with extended family, multiple couples or a group of friends? No need to fight over who gets the Master as 4 of the 5 bedrooms offer en-suite bathrooms! The 5th bedroom, just off the living room, has a Queen sofa bed and doubles as an office with automated retractable shades on the interior glass doors for ultimate privacy and flexibility. While the house is definitely not considered childproof, this will help make your stay a little less stressful we hope. Still need that extra touch to win you over? Well, the attention to detail doesn’t stop there… the spa-like bathrooms include Dyson hairdryers & GHD flat irons. There is a laundry room with a full-size washer & dryer, steamer, iron + ironing board. A wireless printer & office supplies make a seamless work-from-home experience. The mud room off the rear entry if the perfect “dump” zone for all your winter gear. Exterior ski & snowboard racks are also provided. The entire house is also equipped with automated Lutron shades, Sonos sound bars with bluetooth capability ideal for playing your latest Spotify playlist, and hidden speakers in the kitchen/dining/living room ceiling. Other things to note -Magpie House has smart TV's in each bedroom, the two living rooms & the kitchen. Each loaded with a DirecTV Stream account for live TV channels, and other familiar streaming services that our guests can log into using their own accounts. -3 Uncovered parking spaces (2 of which are tandem) on the backside of the house. These are tight spaces and we would recommend parking 1-2 cars as the more ideal arrangement. You can also easily get around without a car - all restaurants and shopping in town is walkable plus the free skier shuttles are across the street. Should you need transportation, you can always arrange for a private car service or taxi. -There is currently (Sept 2023) construction on-going at the Molly Gibson Lodge next door. They have been very conscientious with their work and the noise and inconvenience we have experienced has been minimal. We understand that they are near completion on the exterior work and should be turning their attention to the interior work very soon, which they hope to have finalized by the end of 2023. We will also be having a property line fence constructed between the 2 properties soon (hopefully by end of October 2023) to provide even more privacy. - There is some construction going on elsewhere in the area.
