Dogs ok The space Nestled in a deep-water cove on serene Lake Wateree, Great Escape on Wateree is ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding, tubing and swimming with little-to-no boat traffic. We provide 5 kayaks, 2 SUP's, a large splash pad, and life vests (sizes ranging from toddler to XL). WE DO NOT PROVIDE FISHING GEAR. Feel free to trailer in your boat from our private landing and tie up at the dock. You can also rent one at Wateree Marina (10 minutes down the road). Our new covered dock and renovated deck, is perfect for lounging with a cold drink or watching your kids splash the day away. Back on land, the fun continues with plenty of yard games such as badminton, corn hole, ladder ball, croquet, ring-toss, Kan Jam, volleyball and much more. Enjoy a spirited game of pingpong inside the game garage or escape to the “Cozy Clubhouse” for some quiet time, located off to the left of the main house (equipped with hammock, zero gravity chaise lounges, yoga mats, and some light exercise equipment). In the evening, as you take in the breathtaking sunsets, fire up the grill and enjoy a delicious meal. There’s plenty of room to dine outdoors on the deck, or at the picnic table under the tree. Top off the night by toasting marshmallows and telling scary stories around the fire pit (2 bundles of firewood provided). Inside the home, you’ll find many games, magazines, and books to enjoy. Watch a show from any room with our 4 smart TVs, enjoy a soothing, rainfall shower, and sleep soundly on large comfy King and Queen beds. 2 more single beds in the loft! During the cooler months, wrap yourself in one of the cozy throw blankets and settle in by the warm glow of the indoor fireplace. Feel safe and sound in our fully fenced-in property and Smart lock dead bolt. Self check-in, Smart thermostat controlled by YOU for your comfort, and plenty of private driveway parking. Some guests love to just stay at home, relax and take in the scenery, and others like to venture out, (see local attractions below). We try our best to provide many things to do at home, but if you are adventurous, you’re in a great location.  We also provide extra amenities for your comfort and convenience. There is no street parking. As property owners, we bear NO responsibility for trailering in/docking/operating your own watercraft. This includes damages, theft, malfunction, in addition to personal injury or death with regard to your watercraft. This is at your own risk. By booking this reservation, you agree to Indemnify and hold Owner harmless from any and all claims including those of third parties, arising out of, or in any way related to Renter’s use of Property or the items of personal property provided therein. Renter assumes all risk of injury or other losses relating to any recreational activities. Renter understands that using kayaks, paddle boards and inflatables, as well as, swimming, and any other aquatic activities provided by the Owner, involve certain inherent risks, including, but not limited to, falling in the water, injury, drowning and other dangers associated with aquatic activities. Renter and guests hereby release and hold harmless the Host and its representatives, all claims, liabilities, causes of actions, cost, expenses, whether at law or in equity, in connection with Renter’s use (as well as any of Renter’s guests' use) of the kayaks, paddle boards, inflatable watercraft. Renter and guests agree to use the kayaks, paddle boards and inflatables responsibly, following all safety instructions provided by the Owner. Renter and guests agree to wear appropriate safety gear, such as life jackets, while on the water. Renter and guests confirm that they are physically and mentally fit for kayaking, paddle boarding and use of other aquatic items provided by Owner, and do not have any medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in these activities. Additionally, with regard to the loft ladder, Renter and guests agree to follow the safety rules provided by the Owner, including refraining from climbing the ladder if under the influence of alcohol or any drugs/medications that could impair one’s balance or judgement, or if Renter and/or guests have any balance or mobility issues regardless of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Renter and guests hereby release and hold harmless the Host and its representatives, all claims, liabilities, causes of actions, cost, expenses, whether at law or in equity, in connection with Renter’s use (as well as any of Renter’s guests' use) of the loft ladder. Renter and guests agree to use loft ladder responsibly, following all safety instructions provided by the Owner. NO SUBLETTING: Renter may not sublet or assign this lease for all or any part of the premises. REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE: The Property is rented with the Owner’s furniture and household furnishings. Owner shall not be responsible for providing additional furnishings or equipment not presently available in Property. Renter will report any maintenance issues or accidental damages immediately to the Owner. Owner will make every effort to repair and/or replace any equipment that is not working properly but cannot guarantee that all equipment is in optimal operating order at all times. CANCELLATION: Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. Renter acknowledges that they have read, accept, and agree to the House Rules and terms set forth. Guest access The entire house, including the 2-bed loft, fenced front and back yard, dock, boat slip, game room, 'cozy clubhouse' and lake are all yours to enjoy during your stay. Access to the garage for kayaks, paddle boards, ping-pong table, yard games and more. Access to the "cozy clubhouse" to the left of the main house to relax, take a nap, gather for a cocktail, play a game, swing on the hammock. Other things to note 1) There is a maximum capacity of 8 guests allowed at any given time.  2) We have a security camera facing the driveway entrance. It is out of view of any gathering places or private areas. 3) Please be sure to supervise your children and pets at all times. Due to the property's lakeside location and open water access, there are inherent safety risks for children and pets. Guests should exercise caution at all times, as we cannot assume responsibility for accidents or injuries. 4) There is a flat pet fee of $175, which allows for up to 2 dogs. Unfortunately, cats are not permitted. If you are bringing your furry friend to the property, please note that having a fenced-in yard does not always ensure their safety. It is your responsibility to keep a close eye on your pets. We are NOT responsible if your pet escapes the fenced-in property, enters the lake, or encounters a wildlife species. When pups come to a new location, it’s natural for them to explore. Please supervise at all times!
