Description
Brook House Emsworth has been welcoming guests since August 2023. The house is a south facing property, furnished to a high standard and nestled in the much desired south west corner of Emsworth. The property boasts 2 double bedrooms and one single room with a bunk bed, sleeping up to 6 guests. It has one upstairs bathroom with shower over the bath and a downstairs loo. This is an open plan lounge diner and a large kitchen with a breakfast table. The kitchen has a Belling oven, 4 slice toaster, The space The lounge has a 65’ smart TV with Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime, ITVx, You Tube, Disney+ available, please use your own logins. There is a selection of board games, children's books, books on local walks, puzzle books and cooking books to use for your pleasure. The garden boasts sun all day ‘when it shines’ with a lockable garden shed which is available for guests to store bikes, paddle boards and other large items at your own risk. There is outdoor seating, but sadly no BBQ on site. However, feel free to bring a BBQ with you, taking all the necessary precautions when using it. It takes approximately 8 minutes to amble/walk to the water front or a 2 minute drive where parking is available. From there the walk into town takes a further 12 minutes along the waterfront, taking in the scenic views of the estuary, Hayling and Thorney islands. You should find plenty of yachts, windsurfers and paddle boarders out on the water when the tide is in. Eating out There are two main fine dining restaurants in the town centre, being 36 In on the Quay and Fat Olives. Please note that you need to book as soon as you decide to avoid disappointment. JJ’s is another vibrant, multifaceted restaurant and bar providing everything delicious from breakfast to deli, to dinner. Again, booking is essential in the evenings, especially in the summer months. They are dog friendly, but do check beforehand to make sure the dog friendly tables are available. Driftwood comes highly recommended for breakfast served until 11:45. After that they switch to the lunch menu. You are not able to book, but expect a short wait when arriving due to its popularity. They are also dog friendly, but only on the patio and in the covered pod outside. There are at least 5 pubs in close proximity to the town centre, most of them serving food. The Blue Bell Inn is really popular and again it is advisable to book well in advance. There are plenty of other restaurants and takeaways from fish and chips to Indian, Turkish and Italian which are all worth visiting. Local Surrounds to Emsworth Goodwood House is 25km away, while Goodwood Motor Circuit is 21km. Chichester Train Station is 16km and Chichester Cathedral is 17km. Portsmouth Harbour is 16km.
