Come and enjoy a unique experience in the heart of the boreal forest in Sainte-Rose-du-Nord. Recharge your body and mind while relaxing in your private spa after a day in nature, hiking, snowmobiling or mountain biking. By snowmobile or mountain bike, you have the option to leave from your chalet by taking a private trail that leads to the federated trails. The space The Boréal is the typical log cabin of the first settlers. This beautiful room-by-room construction is warm and comfortable, designed to enjoy all seasons. The Boréal can accommodate 4 adults but ideally 2 adults and 2 children. Well equipped with its living room, warm up with its wood stove, kitchenette, a full bathroom with shower, a private bedroom, a bed on the mezzanine (restricted height see photo) and a private hot tub accessible year-round. Each site has its own free private parking and privacy due to its location in the forest. Also each has its own outdoor fireplace, BBQ, Spa and terrace. KO Guest access La Rose du Fjord consists of more than 100 acres of land, the majority of which is in the boreal forest, with all the biodiversity that this represents. The playground is great for outdoor activities, all seasons combined. In summer and autumn, you can go hiking in the forest on the estate with these majestic views of the Saguenay Fjord. At the mountain lake, you can go swimming, pedal boating or canoeing. You can tease the speckled trout (native trout) on our stocked fishing pond. One trout per guest included per stay, an additional fee of 10.00/trout applies, all income is donated to the Sainte-Rose-du-Nord youth center. In winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling or dog sledding are all offered directly or through partners as needed. In spring, a good part of the winter activities are practiced, but the sugar season (sugar shack, maple syrup) is approaching quickly with the warmth of the sun that invigorates us. You can observe unique fauna and flora with the presence of moose, bears, wolves, coyotes, deer, tetra, ruffed grouse (Partridge), hares and many other species, not to mention the abundant flora. Come and experience rejuvenation in the middle of the boreal forest. Each site enjoys privacy due to its location in the forest. Other things to note We offer the rental of 2 pairs of Faber Snowmountain snowshoes 8-26 up to 90.7 Kg (200 lbs). $5/pair/day. We offer snowmobile or mountain bike (Quad) hiking packages with a certified and accredited guide depending on the season. (Including snowmobile and everything required) Also, we have the possibility to offer, through our partners, dog sledding. All subject to availability.
