A family of 4 can stay comfortably. There is a whiteboard for planning in the biggest room. There are neighbors and an English language school for kids below this house so between 2pm-7:30pm you will definitely children practicing English as a second language. This is NOT a party house. Please be respectful. The space As soon as you enter the front door, there is a large entry way, then stairs to access the 2nd floor. The living/dining/kitchen area is on the west side of the building to catch the evening sun and the 2 bedrooms catch the morning sun as it comes up over the mountains. Guest access Guests are free to use the entire living quarters of this building. This includes the 1st floor entry hall, staircase, and all of the 2nd floor. It is a private single family home but one concrete wall is shared with the house next door. From JR Kameoka station south exit please exit the station and walk to the right (toward the post office and family mart) and turn right at the first stop light where family mart and “GUEST” hair salon is located. Walk for approximately 5 minutes down this street named, “FUREAI DOORI”. Once you cross a small bridge you can see the row of 15 shops on the left side. Right in the middle is “WAMPAM” English school, and the guest space is directly above this school. Please enter from the street directly behind FUREAI DOORI. Kame Ame House can easily be distinguished because of the brass machined sign at the entrance. Other things to note There is a kids English school right under the guest space and lively voices between 2pm and 7:30pm. Otherwise the guest space is very tranquil and peaceful. There are 2 plants in the house. For guests staying more than 10 days or so, I’d highly appreciate it if you could give them a cup of water from time to time. This is a non smoking property.
