Cosy apartment for two in the heart of Muskoka!

Take a break and enjoy the Muskoka area whatever the season! Fabulous in Fall, Wonderful in Winter, Stunning in Spring and Stupendous in Summer! The space Our home is situated midway between Bracebridge and Huntsville and is a great hopping off point for all areas of Muskoka and is just a short drive to the beautiful village of Port Sydney! This is a basement apartment and we live above it. We are a quiet(ish!) couple with a bouncy golden retriever who may want to say Hello occasionally! Entrance is at the back of the property and through the garage but you have your own front door and space once through the garage. The bathroom has a shower, not tub and is tidy and clean but not ultra modern! It is at the top of the stairs so unsuitable for those who struggle with stairs. The spacious bedroom and living area are to be found downstairs. The living area has a kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and induction plate for simple food prep. Please note there is no sink except in bathroom but a large pitcher of water (fresh from our well!) will be left and can be topped up on request. There is a small sofa, large tv and a breakfast bar to eat at. The bedroom has two easy chairs as well as a queen bed and dresser. You will have the back yard, deck and firepit to yourselves for the duration of your stay unless it’s buried in snow! A great place for visitors for Fall colours, ice fishing or snow mobiling in winter and numerous beaches for swimming canoeing, kayaking and fishing in the summer! Guest access The back area of the property, the apartment and the back deck. Garage can be used for wet/dirty belongings but there may be a car also parked in there, particularly in winter. Other things to note Our basement suite is reached around the back of the house, via the deck and through the garage to your own front door. We accept 2 well behaved pets and the road we live on is suitable for exercising dogs as it heads into woodland/track with minimum traffic. Laundry facilities are not provided but available on request. Please Note that in exceptional circumstances such as power outages we may need to access the apartment to reach basement furnace room and electricity panel! Guests should not ‘overload’ plug sockets as this can trigger a fuse!
