Cozy Rustic Cowboy Cabin One mile from Village
Description
Our Cozy Cowboy Cabin is set on a picturesque hilltop with 13 acres of stunning views of the Cuyamaca Mountains, and on clear days, you can catch beautiful sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by old oak and manzanita trees, it’s just one mile from downtown Julian, where you can enjoy restaurants, breweries, wine tastings, and famous apple pie. This rustic retreat features a wood-burning stove, making it an ideal country getaway for cozy winter nights and stargazing. The space This charming property, built in 1946 using wood from the lumber mill on Volcan Mountain, offers a unique glimpse into the past. Some of the flooring still in use today comes from the old Julian Schoolhouse, while the kitchen flooring is over 100 years old. Nestled in the countryside, this cabin is surrounded by a variety of wildlife, including mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects. Our rustic cabin, set on a 13-acre property, is rich in character. For many years, this location was home to The Julian Stables, which provided horseback riding experiences across the beautiful Julian hills. We strive to maintain the old-world charm, allowing our guests to feel as though they have stepped back in time for a few days. The spacious living room features a wood-burning fireplace adorned with original stonework from a local quarry. The wooden flooring and beams are as original as the cabin itself. The large country kitchen has retained much of its 1940s charm, making it an ideal space for gathering, playing board games, or enjoying great conversations. For winter guests, there's also a gas fireplace to add warmth to the kitchen. We take pride in preserving the rustic appeal of this wonderful old cabin but please be aware that living in an older property may come with unexpected visitors. You will be surrounded by nature, with endless skies and beautiful landscapes. The cabin offers two bedrooms, accommodating a total of four guests: one bedroom with a queen bed and another with a full bed. Please note that the bedrooms have curtains for privacy, but no doors or locks. There's also a large outdoor deck facing southwest, where you can enjoy stunning sunset views. This is a perfect spot to relax, drink your morning coffee, or practice yoga. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin. Other things to note Please review the pictures provided in the listing details for Payson Drive.
