Relax and entertain in this home away from home, or find fun and adventure in its varied and fascinating surroundings. The space This property sleeps 8, in 6 beds and 4 bedrooms. All bedrooms are stylishly furnished and all but one, include Hollywood mirrors, dressing table and plenty of storage space. Room 1. King size bed with ensuite bathroom including large shower. Room 2. King size bed. Room 3. Twin beds Room 4. Bunk beds Bedrooms 2,3 and 4 are serviced by a modern family bathroom right beside them, with both shower and bathtub. An extensive modern kitchen with 2 x oven, 2 x fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and all the facilities and utensils you could need and much more, also includes a breakfast bar, coffee machine, log burner, comfy corner settee area and smart TV, creating just one of the many spaces in which you can relax, unwind and/or entertain. This room also has a large kitchen island that flows through to the 8 seat dining room table area. **please note there is not dishwasher in this property** For further entertainment there is a dedicated TV room with Lazyboy's and 65'' Smart TV. There is a games room with pool table, table tennis, dart board, table football, board games and arcade machine. And best of all, a unique and fabulous 'games den' with LED lighting, bean bags and the Gamestick Pro Retro Console with over 40,000 iconic games from all of our childhoods, such as Golden Axe, Street Fighter, Mario, Crash Bandicoot, Zelda and (if you can think of it, it's on there) Outside, to the front there is free, safe and private off road parking for up to 8 vehicles, making parking stress free for everybody. Around the back, off the kitchen, is a private garden with 100 sq metres of patio with seating and for the chefs among you, an outdoor tandori and pizza oven. There is a child's swing and 200 sq metres of lawn for outdoor games and entertainment. Tennis racquets, bats and balls etc can also be found in the games room. Accessibility - there is a small step around the back of the property when gaining entry to the property. Access can be gained through the front door of the property once you are inside, however there are several steep steps which can be slippery when wet and extra care is advised, as no railings are provided. We advise small children are supervised at all times and those with limited mobility to please use extra care if using. The ‘games den’ is located in the attic which is accessed via a steep attic ladder. We would advise this not to be used by small children unless supervised at all times and to not be used by those with limited mobility. Both bathrooms are located upstairs in the property and no downstairs bathroom or toilet is available. Please note: Hand towels and tea towels are provided during your stay, however we do not provide bath towels and these should be brought with you to the property when staying. We are super pet friendly and welcome your furry family members to enjoy our property. There is a large garden for your pet to enjoy and part take in outdoor family activities. We please ask that any dog mess is picked up and removed before checking out. This will incur an additional charge of £20 from our housekeeper if dog mess is left and not removed. Pets are allowed inside the property but we ask that they do not go on furniture unless a blanket or throw is provided on your visit for this purpose. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on any beds. The pizza oven is available to use throughout your stay. Kindling is provided and additional kindling can be found in the outbuilding behind the games room in the back garden. The pizza oven and utensils must be left clean if used or will incur a £20 cleaning fee from our housekeepers. The gas BBQ is available to use throughout your stay. The log burner in the snug is available to use throughout your visit. 2 x fire logs will be left at the property for each stay, along with a basket of kindling and logs. Additional kindling and logs can be found in the outbuilding behind the games room in the back garden. Other things to note Nearby amenities include a Tesco, gym/swimming/leisure centre and petrol station. A 2 minute drive, or 10 minute walk either direction, takes you to the villages of Hoyland or Hoyland Common, where you will find numerous traditional pubs, restaurant's, real ale micro-pubs, and various other shops, take away's and amenities. Being less than 2 miles from J36 of the M1 Motorway, means you are perfectly placed to commute or to continue your adventures north or south by car. Elsecar Train Station is just 1 mile away, taking you North to the small market town of Barnsley in just a few short minutes, or beyond to the urban centres of Leeds and Wakefield, and to historic York. The newly regenerated Barnsley Town centre boasts Brazilian, Mexican, Indian, Italian, BBQ and many more restaurants and eateries. There is also the Metrodome Centre, brand new Cineworld and Superbowl, and the new Glass Works shopping centre, all just a short walk from the bus and train station over the new and spectacular Market Gate Foot Bridge. To the South, within 20 minutes, the train from Elsecar arrives at Meadowhall, Yorkshires largest indoor shopping centre, and then continues on to the UK's greenest city, Sheffield, with it's numerous tourist attractions, high street shopping, sports facilities, fine dinning and ultra modern Supertram System that can quickly and cheaply transport you all over the whole Metropolitan area. For climbers, cavers, hikers, walkers and nature lovers, we are also right on the doorstep of the Peak District National Park. Just 45/55 minutes from the High Peak villages of Castleton, Bamford, Hathersage and the beautiful Hope Valley and the imposing Mam Tor (Shivering Mountain). For cyclists, we are less than a mile from the Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) which has hundreds of miles of repurposed railway line which join Hornsea and Southport on the East and West coasts, and York and Chesterfield to the North and South respectively, whilst passing many locations of interest and natural beauty, particularly to the west where it skirts the many reservoirs of the Woodhead Pass and the source of the River Don at Dunford Bridge. To the East, RSPB Old Moor is just a 25 minute cycle away. For history lovers, the National Trust property, grade 1 listed Wentworth Castle/Gardens is just 5 miles (14 mins) away. Europe's largest privately built home, the 606 ft long grade 1 listed Wentworth Woodhouse, and historic estate village is just 3 miles (9 mins) away. The 16th Century Worsborough Mill and Country park just 3.9 miles (11 mins ) away. And the internationally important Elsecar Heritage Centre, which Historic England has recently declared a Heritage Action Zone, is just 1.4 miles (4mins) away. The latter, by the way, makes a fantastic pub crawl from home, finishing up at the on site brewery. Slightly further afield can be found Cannon Hall, Park and Farm, Brodsworth Hall (EH), Cusworth Hall, Barnsley Museum, The Chapel on The Bridge in Rotherham, Wortley Hall, Wortley Top Forge, Nostell Priory (NT), Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Monk Bretton priory (EH), Kelham Island Museum, Weston Park Museum. Conisborough Castle (EH). Sandal Castle. Pontefract Castle.
