The space The apartment is located in the heart of Florence’s historic center, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance of the Santa Maria Novella train station. You'll be surrounded by Florence’s most iconic landmarks, museums, and shopping streets: • Uffizi Gallery, Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens • Accademia Gallery (home to Michelangelo’s David) • Fashion streets like Via Tornabuoni, Via Calzaiuoli, Via Strozzi, and Piazza della Repubblica The Fortezza da Basso, a key venue for international exhibitions and events, is also just a short walk away. The apartment is on the second floor of an ancient medieval tower-house. Recently renovated in 2024, it blends historic charm with modern comfort. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with: • Induction cooktops, traditional oven, microwave • Refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher • Top-loading washing machine (7 kg) For your comfort, the apartment has independent air conditioning in all bedrooms and the living area. The system was serviced in September 2024 and works efficiently—just keep the windows closed while in use. In summer, we recommend setting the temperature to 23–24°C. The ancient walls also help maintain a pleasantly cool temperature inside. The apartment is private and quiet. However, as it is located within a residential building with other year-round occupants, we kindly ask our guests to behave respectfully and courteously, especially by observing quiet hours and avoiding loud noises—both inside the apartment (particularly when windows are open or when using the terrace) and in the building’s shared spaces (entrance, hallways, and stairwells). Storing luggage or any personal items in the common areas is not allowed. For any specific needs, please contact the host. Other things to note All appliances in the apartment are electric, except for the boiler, which provides hot water and heating during the winter season. The upper kitchen cabinets use a push-and-pull mechanism: simply press the door toward the cabinet to open or close it. A small powder fire extinguisher is available in the apartment (please keep it out of reach of children). Please do not flush hair, sanitary products, diapers, or anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. During the warmer months, we strongly recommend not opening the windows during the hottest hours of the day. The building’s ancient stone walls help keep the apartment naturally cool. The apartment also features independent air conditioning units, which are most effective when windows remain closed while in use. Additional cleaning service is available upon request during your stay.
