Many westerns have taken advantage of the stunning backdrops of this southwestern paradise,Though secluded, Galisteo is not remote: the nearby towns of Santa Fe, El Dorado, and Glorieta offer culture, shopping, dining and art that make Galisteo appealing to even the most cosmopolitan. The Agora Shopping Center just 15 minutes away offers local restaurants, boutiques and groceries, while the sights and sounds of Santa Fe are just 25 minutes to the north. Outdoor activities abound, in line with the New Mexico lifestyle – visit the Pecos National Park, journey through the Cibola National Forest, or hike the stunning Galisteo Basin Preserve to fully enjoy all this beautiful land has to offer. Recommended New Mexico airport: Albuquerque (ABQ) is the primary airport. Travel time from the airport to The Chi Center is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes via car – approximately 75 miles. There is also an airport in Santa Fe about 40 minutes from The Center. The flights in and out of Santa Fe are limited, however. Transportation while in New Mexico: You will need a car to travel to The Center, on State Highway 41. There is no public transportation to our countryside location. If you travel to New Mexico by plane, we recommend renting a vehicle so that you have the most freedom and options. Groceries, restaurants, and shopping are 17 miles away in the village of ElDorado, or 25 miles to the North in Santa Fe. There are also a few quaint eating places in Madrid and Los Cerrillos, 17 miles to the West.
