Settled amongst the rural greenery of Cumbria, between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, rests this wonderful two-bedroom holiday home, 2 The Cottages, nestled in the quaint village of Shap. Park up on the off-road space provided at the rear of this wonderful abode and make your way inside to begin your stay, kicking off your boots and storing your muddy walking gear in the handy utility upon entry. The space Newly decorated and upgraded, there is a fully equipped Kitchen with cooker, Microwave, toaster, kettle and Fridge. Separate living room with TV and lots of books to browse. Comfy Sofa, chair and a warming gas fire. With a double bed and twin beds this makes for a great stay for both families and couples to enjoy. Fresh towels are provided. A great place to relax after a walking Holiday or a stop over from walking the Coast to Coast Guest access There is a parking space to the rear of the property and parking is allowed on the street. Other things to note We are going to allow dogs and see how it goes on the basis they must be kept down stairs please. If people do not respect this request, we will remove the pets being allowed off the listing and of course this would be a shame for the majority. There will be a number of dog towels in the utility area as well as a dog bed and Bowls. Thank you A moments walk from your doorstep will bring you into the heart of Shap, where you'll find all of your local amenities, including a handy Co-op supermarket, ideal for picking up any last minute essentials, along with a number of pubs, cafes and takeaways for those days you don't feel like doing the cooking. There's a wealth of fascinating history waiting to be explored nearby, such as the 12th century remains of Shap Abbey, idyllically positioned on the banks of the River Lowther, and the National Trust's Keld Chapel, thought to have once been a chantry. Immerse yourself in the great outdoors with an adventure through the Lake District National Park, home to Scafell Pike, the tallest mountain in England, or travel in the opposite direction to take on the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where competitors climb the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within a 12 hour time frame Directions From the south M6 J39, when Entering Shap Village go past the Kings Arms hotel and The Cottages are 250 meters on the left directly opposite the right-hand turn onto croft avenue, N0 2 is the second in the row of Stone cottages and is shown with a wooden name plate 2 the cottages on the front door. To gain access to the parking go past to the end of the cottages (4) you will see a road, turn up and go round the back of the cottages and No 2 is again with a number and name plate on the back of the cottage please do not park in the back lane only park on the area directly at the back of the cottage thank you CA10 3NU.
