Description
The Dairy is a delightful cosy ground floor annexe to our 17th Century Thatched Cottage. It has private access with its own outdoor south facing seating area and view of the orchard and garden. The Dairy consists of one double bed bedroom that sleeps 2 guests, shower room and separate lounge area with Wi-Fi, TV and Tea / coffee facilities. The bright lounge area also has access to the main house. The annexe has recently been tastefully refurbished as part of renovations to the main house The space The Dairy is a self contained guest suite comprising a private bedroom, bathroom and living area. The property has its own entrance and patio area. It is an annexe to the main house which is totally private if guests prefer. Guest are free to wander in the large garden which has access to a footpath taking you direct to Draycote Reservoir. This is approx a 5 - 10 minute walk. There is a cafe at the reservoir, a sailing club, wind surfing, paddle boarding and fishing. You can also walk or cycle around. We are located half a mile outside the main centre of Dunchurch which has 2 pubs and a number of quality places to eat and drink. Both restaurant style and takeaway. (Indian, Chinese and Pizza). The village centre also a choice of two delightful coffee shops only 10 minutes walk away. There is also a cafe and small garden centre 15 min walk the opposite direction. Towards Rugby town there is a large Sainsbury’s 20 minute walk, there is a petrol station located on the outskirts of the village Rugby town is a three mile drive, there is a bus service to Rugby number 63 that you can get from the village centre. Guest access Guests can access The Dairy through the main house or via the external private entrance from the guest patio at rear of property. There is ample parking at the front of the property Other things to note We are situated on the Western edge of Dunchurch village with several interesting and exciting amenities on the doorstep. Draycote Water is only a 15 min walk and offers world class sailing tuition or for those that enjoy a more relaxed environment there’s fishing or bird watching. There is also fishing pools at nearby Toft and a few miles south at Barby. If you’re attending a wedding at the delightful Bourton Hall, the Dairy is an excellent location as it’s only a 7 min drive away. If you’re into canal boats, we have Braunston Marina only a 10 min drive south of Dunchurch near the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union Canals. You can hire boats or simply walk the peaceful towpaths. (A few pubs en route of course). We are only 3 miles from Rugby town centre. The ‘Real’ home of Rugby football 🏉😊. There are tour’s available most Saturdays of the delightful and historic Rugby School. If Motorsport is your passion, then you’ll be delighted to know we are only 35 mins from the iconic Silverstone racetrack. A fantastic location if you are lucky enough to get tickets to the F1 in July, the Moto GP in August, or the newly announced Carfest hosted by Chris Evans Further afield we have the amazing Warwick Castle which is a fantastic day out for the whole family, and of course Shakespeares birthplace, Stratford on Avon is a 40 min drive. Although a relatively small village; Dunchurch offers several good places to eat and a number of takeaways covering the usual Indian / Chinese / pizza and of course …… fish & chip shop There is also two excellent coffee shops in the centre of the village.
