Description
Between Rome and Naples, on the northwestern edge of the Abruzzo National Park and at the end of the Val di Comino, below the beautiful mountain village of Picinisco lies this 400-year-old tower with 76 square meters on three floors. On the ground floor there is a typical Italian "salone" with a cozy fireplace and small kitchen, on the middle floor the shower room and one bedroom and on the upper floor another bedroom. The space The furnishings in the tower are simple but stylish. Rustic, but cozy. And even if there is running water, electricity and a warm shower, our guests put their phone aside at best. And experience how simple and yet beautiful life can be in a 400-year-old place. And how little you need to be happy if the quality of the ingredients is right. Impressive sunsets, a kilometer-wide panoramic view that looks like it was painted, in the background the quiet sound of the river Mollarino, plus a shepherd who lets his sheep graze on the 1 hectare property under the olive trees - life in Torre Bella Vista has everything to escape the hustle and bustle for a few days and switch off. The numerous markets in the area also have everything you need for good Italian cuisine: olive oil, fresh bread, country wine, meat, ham, salsiccia, ricotta and hand-picked fruits and vegetables. Guest access The tower includes 1 hectare of olive trees, fruit trees and a small forest. You can also park cars comfortably in front of the tower. The tower has two entrances - one on the ground floor to the "Salone" and the kitchen. And one via an external staircase directly into the middle floor. Inside the tower, a spiral staircase made of steel connects the floors. Other things to note The tower is located pretty much in the middle between Rome and Naples and at the gates of the "Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise" National Park and can be reached quickly by rental car from all three airports in the region (Roma Fiumicino, Roma Ciampino, Napoli Capodichino). Day trips to Pompeii, Naples or Rome are possible (with the day ticket of the train from Cassino for €14). However, day trips to the national park are probably much more appealing. (Important note: The tower is not accessible without your own vehicle or rental car.) Upon arrival, we will gladly provide a "Val di Comino" starter package upon request. Included: - Two bottles of red country wine (0.7 l) - a bottle of fresh olive oil (0.5 l) - a bottle of conserva (cooked tomatoes for a quick sauce, 0.7 l) - a freshly baked bread (1 kg) - garlic - onions - a piece of guanciale (air-dried, unsmoked pork bacon) - 6 eggs - espresso coffee Price on request.
