Welcome to the Dutch Barn, a destination for you to get a taste of countryside living on your terms, and enjoy all the modern comforts whilst immersing yourself in the beauty of the area. With 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 en-suites and a large open-plan living area, the space is yours to define. We hope the Dutch Barn can facilitate rejuvenating trips away, perfectly located for you to enjoy a peaceful stay, enjoy the calmness of walks in the surrounding field or as a base for your travels! The space The concept of this space is to showcase the countryside setting and maximise natural light, whilst providing privacy in a unique and spacious home. The disused barn has been transformed into a multi-faceted space, featuring an open-plan living area where you can take in the views of the surrounding countryside with floor-to-ceiling windows. These views can be enjoyed across both floors of the property, with a second living space upstairs offering an elevated view. The Dutch barn can be a space to unwind in as you explore what Kent has to offer, and is also suitable for hosting friends and family. The barn has a 10-seat dining table, as well as seating at the bar in the kitchen. The kitchen comes fully equipped and features an American style fridge, freezer with ice maker. The French doors in the living space provide access to a patio with a table and chairs, the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee as you take in the sunrise (weather permitting!). There is space to relax across two living areas situated on each floor, with a TV in the open plan downstairs area, as well as SMART televisions in each of the 5 bedrooms. Starlink wifi ensures the property has access to high-speed internet, in case this is your destination to mix up your WFH spot. The upstairs bedroom that features an en-suite also has a free-standing bath, with the rest of the bathrooms featuring spacious showers. The downstairs bedroom with an en-suite can also be accessed by an outside door, with a glorious view of the surrounding fields. Guest access The guests will have access to the whole property and certain fields in the immediate area. An electric gate provides entry to the property, which we will provide you with all entry details upon booking. Other things to note Set in the countryside village of Headcorn, the barn is located a short drive from the village with all the local amenities, including a variety of pubs and shops. The location is a great starting point to explore the villages within the Weald of Kent, as well as iconic locations like Leeds Castle, a wonderful day out all times of year. If heading to the city, you can access the train station to reach London Bridge in 1hr 10mins, or take trips to vibrant and historical towns such as Canterbury, Margate, Dover, Rye and more. Featuring historical locations like Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral, there is a real variety of day trips to plan. There is also a local taxi service that can take you the short trip to the station if this works better for you. Kent is also fantastic to explore by car, whether you want to have a unique day out or enjoy the Kent coast, with a variety of destinations around 40 minutes away.
