The Nature Lodge is a newly built farm stay set back from the banks of the beautiful Tweed River. Offering total peace & seclusion but only a short 3 minute drive from the vibrant village of Uki. Wake up each morning to the sound of the running river and beautiful valley views. At night, soak in our two person outdoor tub whilst counting the stars next to the fire pit. Suitable for a romantic getaway, tranquil solo retreat or for families who enjoy getting back to nature. The space The Nature Lodge is a two bedroom farmstay with an open plan lounge and kitchen area. Each bedroom has a Queen bed and premium linen covers. We have an uncover porch with couples setting for you to enjoy your morning cuppa by the sounds of the river and a lovely paved area with a twin outdoor tub, fire pit and outdoor table setting. The accomodation is beautifully private, with ample rolling green grass surrounds. Guest access The accommodation is tucked away in a beautifully private pocket of the property, with ample rolling green grass surrounds. Guests are welcome to stroll along the dirt roads on the farm and enjoy saying hello to the animals or wandering down to the river. Please note that The Nature Lodge is located on the other side of the Tweed River, which is accessible via the bridge shown in the listing photos. Because we’re in the beautiful Northern Rivers region, during periods of heavy rain, access to the property can occasionally be impacted by flooding. If you’re visiting during a forecasted wet weather period, we recommend bringing any essential medications, a little extra food, and keeping an eye on the weather in case the river rises. We’ll always do our best to keep you informed and support your stay. Let me know if you’d like to add anything else (e.g. local emergency contacts or weather app links). Other things to note - We use premium cotton linens on our beds and white Egyptian cotton sheets laundered with low-tox, eco-friendly products only for those sensitive to fragrances. - You'll enjoy sightings of our highland cows, horses, ponies, free ranging ducks and chickens and even our neighbours donkeys. Turtles are often sighted at the river and if you're lucky you may see the local platypus. - Enjoy freshwater swimming in the river, a spot of kayaking or throw a line and try your luck for a for a bass. - If you need some assistance to make your stay extra special, like for a special surprise or a beautiful proposal, please let me know and we can talk arrangements. I’d be more than happy to help you with this. Uki Village ( a short 3 minute drive away) offers: - Uki Supermarket with everything you need to fill your pantry (fuel available); - Local farmers markets every Saturday morning from 8am & larger markets every 3rd Sunday; - Laundromat with self-serve coin operated washers and dryers if you’re with us for a longer stay; - The Heritage Post-office which has been lovingly restored and roasts and serves Bastion Lane Coffee; - Mount Warning Hotel (bar, restaurant, bottle shop and weekend entertainment); - Delicious take out options from The Pantry Café, Village & Co Café & Uki famous Pies; - Happy High Herbs natural store; and - A selection of small boutique shops including a fair trade & woodcraft store. - 15 minutes from the lage town of Murwillumbah; - 2 minutes from the entry of Clarrie Hall Dam so bring your fishing gear and kayak and do some bass fishing; - Surrounded by an abundance of local bush trails and hiking tracks; - 10 minutes from the Mt Warning Mavis' Kitchen at Mt Warning; - 45 minutes to Byron Bay or the Gold Coast Airport; - 30 minutes to the popular surf beaches of Cabarita and Wooyung; - 1 hour 45 minutes to Brisbane; - 30 minutes from Nimbin; - 1 hour from Kyogle; and - Only a short drive from the beautiful swim holes at Cedar Creek, Hell’s hole and Unicorn Falls.
