Located in the prestigious Skala district, steps from the ramparts and the Skala gate, our riad enjoys an exceptional location. Shops, restaurants and galleries are at the foot of the riad, and the beach and port are within walking distance. The terraces offer views of the sea and Skala. The riad has a large traditional Moroccan patio under a beautiful glass roof, where you can enjoy a homemade breakfast, either in this patio or on the sunny terraces, while listening to the medina wake up. Our beautiful "Beldi" suite is located on the terrace, with a bedroom equipped with a double bed and a living room with a day bed. Decorated in a very sought-after "beldi" style, the suite puts you in touch with nature and the elements: the wind, the sun, the sea and the seagulls. Despite this immersion, our suite remains very comfortable and equipped for your well-being. Enjoy two terraces protected from the wind, equipped with a pergola and a Moroccan lounge, perfect for a drink or breakfast. Sun loungers are available for you to relax while listening to the murmur of the sea. Welcome to Riad Le Consulat for a true discovery of the soul of Essaouira. Guest access The Essaouira medina is pedestrian, offering you the luxury of a car-free vacation. You can easily come by bus from Marrakech or Agadir for a convenient and comfortable ride. If you arrive by car, you can park it in one of the parking lots located at the gates of the medina, at very reasonable rates. To facilitate your arrival, we can arrange a taxi transfer and bring a carossa (trolley) to transport your luggage and guide you to the Riad. The service costs between 30 and 50 dirhams, depending on the volume of your luggage. Enjoy your stay with peace of mind, without worrying about parking or traffic. During your stay We will be on site in the riad to welcome you and advise you on the best restaurants, visits and activities in Essaouira. If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask. Souad and Raja will also be there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Souad will prepare a delicious homemade breakfast for you, while Raja will ensure the cleanliness of the riad. You might also meet Swira, our adorable little dog. However, our suite on the terrace is isolated from the rest of the riad, thus offering valuable privacy for those who seek it. Other things to note We are a guest house and we will be present on site with our little dog, Bichonne, to ensure the smooth running of your stay.
