Blare Cottage at Lower Aylescott is a pretty two storey cottage situated on the central courtyard and comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms. This charming self catering holiday let has recently been renovated, and is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. A bright and light spacious open plan living space with a splash of colour due to a lovely yellow feature wall features a comfy lounge area, a dining area that comfortably seats 4 and a well-equipped modern kitchen area. There are two brown suede sofas with reclining mechanisms that offer an ideal spot to relax and unwind in front of the flat screen TV with DVD player after enjoyable days exploring. A lovely pine dining table is perfect for gathering everyone together to plan your day over breakfast or enjoying an informal family supper. The kitchen has recently been renovated and is well-equipped with everything needed for a self-catering holiday. Appliances include fridge/freezer, electric oven with hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms. These are a double bedroom with a double bed and a twin bedroom with two full size single beds and are serviced by the family bathroom. Again, this has been recently renovated and features a bath with shower overhead, wash basin and WC. Outside, guests are welcome to relax on the provided outdoor furniture in the communal courtyard, and explore the 4.5 acres of grounds. There is also plenty of lawned area, where a new children’s play area has been provided so the kids can play safely. There are also two private fishing lakes, well-stocked with carp, rudd and tench. The carp tend to be around 30 to 50cm (3lb to 5lb) as they are not overfed and over fished so are generally long lean and healthy. Fishing is only available to guests staying at Lower Aylescott. A ghost carp was also recently spotted (June 2019). Guests need to remember to bring their license, rods and baits. Blare is one of six countryside cottages in a lovely quiet countryside setting. This bright and airy cottage offers the perfect base for small families, couples and friends looking for a relaxing break, or perhaps a fishing holiday. It can also be booked with its sister cottages to cater for large groups. Blare Cottage is a pet free cottage. Guest access The guests have access to the entire property - Blare Cottage, plus the shared courtyard, 4.5 acres of grounds and the use of the fishing lakes.
