Your apt is on 1st fl of our home in a secluded, safe 1 acre estate with parking away from the busy 681. Battery backup=no blackouts! The space We found this property a few years ago in very poor shape after having been empty for a few years and hurricane Maria having its way with it. We initially intended to turn the whole property into a vacation rental place but as we worked on it, we fell in love and decided to live upstairs and just rent the apartment downstairs. We call it Casa Taína in honor of the vibrant Taino community that used to live in this area prior to the arrival of the Spainiards. It’s a cozy air conditioned one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room. Very private with no immediate neighbors but close enough to the beach that the sound of the waves will put you to sleep and the birds will wake you in the morning. We are happy to meet you upon your arrival and are available for any help or guidance you may need on your vacation but otherwise respectfully keep to ourselves. We are trying to do our part to save the earth so we had an earth friendly sewage system installed (please no non organic stuff in the toilet), we added solar power and we even supply a Brita water filter jug so you don’t have to buy water bottles. Our solar power system has a battery back up so you don’t have to worry about any power interruptions. Guest access You have access to the front yard and parking area for 2 cars on the property, your apartment on the first floor and the terrace with a lounge and laundry area. Other things to note No additional unregistered guests overnight. We have a 50 amp 240v charger for EVs available. No keys to lose or to return! This property provides secure, keyless entry to our main entryway gate and your apartment. The house is solar powered and protected against blackouts with battery backup. In the event of an overnight power outage the bedroom air conditioner can be kept overnight, but the living room one must be turned off. The apt is usually cool overnight.
