The Artist Suite | Enjoy Nature + Art

10-minutes from Grafton lies the comfy Artist Suite, just right for a duo of adventurous adults. This guesthouse comes with its own entrance, a charming dining nook, a fridge and microwave, plus: one-of-a-kind art crafted by the owner. Pluck sweet apples, juicy pears, and nectarines when in season. Head out for a meal at a nearby restaurant, pop into a boutique, or admire the stunning works of local artists. Explore the trails and see how many majestic Bald Eagles you can spot soaring overhead! The space This private attached guest suite sits on 3 acres. There are lots of beautiful trees to take a nap underneath (we have hammocks). You can even bring a tent and sleep outside during your stay. Enjoy the sounds of nature and star gazing. We are a small homestead and occasionally you may see our free roaming Muscovy ducks free roaming throughout the property. We have a pond on the property behind the outbuildings where you can sit on the docked pontoon boat. We can provide fishing poles if requested. Catch and Release only. Enjoy s’mores at your own fire pit outside your suite. We provide firewood and a few outdoor supplies to enjoy your evenings. This suite can accommodate up to 2 adults. There is a comfy Queen size bed with a 12 inch memory foam mattress. You will have your own fridge stocked with bottled water. We also provide snacks, coffee and tea. There are games and art supplies in the room that you are more than welcome to use. Visitor guides are provided as well. The neighborhood is safe, the neighbors are friendly and we are just a 10 min drive from Grafton, 20 mins from Downtown Alton and 35 mins from St. Louis, MO. All art is made by your host Carol. If you are interested in purchasing, just let us know. Note: We do have a sweet large dog who may, on rare occasions, (door knocking) bark. You may also see her in our own fenced backyard briefly. As cute as she is, please ignore her as she may get too excited and decide to jump over to you. Another note: You may hear us in our kitchen or when we let out our dog. Otherwise we spend most of our time out or on the other end of our house. We also have a white noise machine that runs at all times in between your suite and our side. Guest access Access entry via the smartlock on the door with the code - which will be sent to you on the day of your arrival. Other things to note Coffee and tea are provided. There is creamer and a variety of sweeteners. Before you leave, please throw away all opened food and disposable dishes and utensils in the trash can. Please do not allow food to go down drains. Please scrape that into the trashcan. There is a Smart TV where you may log into your streaming services. Please remove your shoes inside of the bedroom. No underage drinking, no smoking or vaping of any kind inside the suite. No firearms allowed inside or on the property.
